Here is the long awaited review of the Penny Longboard V2!! I put the Penny Longboard through some really serious tests to see how it would hold up. There is a popular video of a penny longboard cracking as a guy tries to ground it out. I tested it, and I am pleased to say that the construction of the Penny Longboard held up! That being said, in my review I bring up a few big concerns that I have for the Longboard compared to Penny's other boards; the 22'' penny and the 27'' Nickel.
As always, thank you very much for watching. Let me know what you think, and what you'd like to see. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
Flex test is at 2:07
Austin Black No way I get a classmate named Austin Black.
Austin Do the 32” It just came out!!!!!
How did yours come with abec 9 bearings I thought they put abec 7 I looked at there website and everything and I saw abec 7.
Blaming a large skateboard for not being small seems like an invalid critique imo
Yeah, it would make more sense to compare this board to like other longboards. If you want the small size, they already got that covered with the Penny original. I don't believe the plastic structure is equal enough to griptape. And what happens when it gets slightly wet? I mean, when commuting there's a chance of getting into some rain. Also, to me a longboard is less functional when it doesn't have more of a tail, so I can at least get onto a curb.
Yeah like he kinda jus bashed a longboard, for its length
They should've named it the Quarter Board
true
No, 32" should be the quarter, the longboard should be the dollar
32 dime, 36 quarter, that my opinion
Extremely great editing, especially for being such a small channel. Great vid, great review, Papa Bless.
WizzyWuzzy thanks SO much for the support! I'm always trying to improve!
looking for a way to get around NYC, thanks for the video man. killer stuff
Kane's Thoughts oh for sure man! Thanks for watching. I'm excited to go to NYC this summer and cruise on my Penny board
man u should have more subs because ur vids are so cool
Thanks so much!! I'm still new, so I'm just grinding and learning still. I appreciate the support!
Just bought mine, cant wait to try it today. I am not a longboard fan, just dont like the look of them. But with Penny its different, man i love plastic, way better than wood in my opinion.
Always were riding my 22 inch Penny, also for long distance like 17miles. But i think the longboard will be a safer way to ride and easier because of the size of the wheels and board.
SecGen2G I totally feel you! I'm in the same boat with all these Penny products. The 22'' is still my fav, but the longboard would probably be more stable
Yesterday i tried the Longboard (42KM(26miles)).
Its really great, its just doesnt care about the ground. It really eats every stone , hole or stick at the street.
Thats much safer and you dont habe to pay a lot of attention to the gorund as you have to do with a 22inch penny.
But the Penny is a little bit more fun to ride. But for long distance the longboard is better. Its great to have both. But the longboard still feels like a Penny. So its a great part of the penny family, also because its made out of plastic. So ill stay with my 22 inchboards and with the 36. Great to have both. Also for downhill the 36inch feels much safer :D.
But fot the City, 22 inch. And also to travel with.
Do they restock the special looking boards? I really want the Tropica longboard.
This dude needs waaaaaay more subs
Meme _Supreme66 'preciate ya! Thanks for the support!
I have a nickel and it is a perfect size for a tall guy like me. Only downfall is you are screwed if you go over a crack slightly too big all your momentum goes away. But on smooth surfaces you can be very quick.
I'm gonna buy shark wheels to see if that helps with the rocky ride on some surfaces.
would u recommend a penny board or a nickle board Austin Black
It depends! If you're a beginner, the Nickel. If you really need something portable, the Penny
How does it stack up against the original 36" from Penny? Is it just lighter or is it thinner as well? The V2 seems to be much more flexible in your video
bunna97 I haven't had any experience with the original, but I'm sure the main differences are the more durable plastic, and the recessed trucks
Lol,they should have named it the "Quarter" XD
Or a silver dollar 😂 it's huge compared to the others!
Austin Black lol that is true. I got the V1 Penny Longboard last year for Christmas and I feel like I need the new one now too. I just do not feel complete XD
Ok so I’m a long boarder and I’m heavy I weigh around 226 and I have a landyacht switch owl and that can art my weight I’m worried that this would break from my weight what is you’re opinion would this break and would the smaller ones be able to carry me ??
I'd say the fish board and the nickel board are good for me if it's a penny brand
hey, can you try the penny 32
If you were going on a long skate trip, travelling 100km+ in a day which penny board would you use?
That's a good question. I would probably go with the longboard, but with anything like that, I would probably replace the bearings.
36 inch isn't that big the skateboard I ride is 36 inch. longboards can be as long as 45 inch
Oh totally. It's all relative. Compared to penny's other products it's massive.
Austin Black fair play just thought that the length wouldn't make it that impractical to carry and take on transport such as buses. although it'd definitely be less practical than penny's other board. nice video btw your review style is very thorough.
The Staley King of Trell definitely true! And thanks so much! I appreciate it
Has penny announced any more colors? Burgundy, Black and that teal/cyan color look cool but not my style.
I know! I like the seafoam color that I got and the wheels glow in dark! But I wish there was more variety!
Exactly my thought. Would be cool to see Penny put their longboards on the customizer. But I think we'll have to see how sales go before they take such a big risk
I think that's the key. People aren't really looking to Penny for their longboards, so there would have to be some factor that gives them a bump in sales. But we can hope!
we sure can ; )
This thing is too damn big. It scares me.
Maximum Carnage no kidding haha. It's humongous
Hugh Mungus?
WizzyWuzzy 😂
Wavybullets Play Tony Hawk Underground. That reference came from a punk song.
cool
As a skater I never understood the penny board thing, anyone care to explain why I might get a penny over just a regular lollipop shaped board?
i have the 36 inch penny longboard but i bought the 22 deck with trucks but i was wondering if the wheels for the 36 inch works on 22 inch 🍑
Wish i can buy one=(
Bigger niche? No it’s a longboard, not a small little penny
Most of your complaints with this board are complaints with longboards in general.
My v2 snapped
Really? I'm interested in how that happned
good vudeo but
that mustache : - )
Thanks for sharing Austin!
Thanks!!
Austin Black - Comparing a longboard to a penny board and saying it's not as good because it can't do tricks is missing the point. It's like comparing a knife to a pair of scissors - they do the same basic thing, but they're designed for different purposes. In my opinion, a well-designed video would explain the different purposes for the 3 boards and then compare the penny long board features to other longboards.
For example, I started off with a penny nickel and love it. I then got a regular, wooden longboard and HATE it. Since then I've wondered if the flexible deck of the penny longboard is what would make me love a longboard. Also, the longboard I bought is 41 inches and too long in my opinion. How does the 36 inch penny longboard compare in that regard? These are all things I'd love to know that weren't answered in your video. Maybe you could do an update video in that kind of format
fitztastico I totally get that, and I certainly agree with you. Maybe it would be good to make a video just talking about all of Penny's products like that. Thanks!
Imma get this on christmas
36'' is actually a really small longboard
I have a penny longboard and I really like it. It's amazing. If u want to do tricks or want to travel light then get a penny or nickel but the penny longboard is great for beginners and fun to cruise on. I bring it to the beach and went on vacation and cruised around streets.
Maria Seidle totally agree with that 👍 they're all good products
nah if you want to do tricks then don't get any kind of penny board
@@josephwoo69 I also don't think these pin tails are very beginner friendly at all. A beginner would want a comfortable and functional tail. I also disagree penny boards are a viable choice for tricks by aaany stretch.
2:07 I got anxiety
You should do a review of the 32 inch Penny board!
A long board is a long board, Penny is growing up and doing new things. For me, double thumbs up for Penny. The reasons I get Penny boards, they are quiet and they don't have sand paper grip top (am a neat freak, don't want sand particles on my floor) If you want to do tricks, definitely don't get Penny, the plastics are not optimal for doing that. But guess what, I still got the 32 inch Penny and am doing tricks with it, just more challenging, it is like flipping a floppy "disk" around your feet.
I have carried my 42" longboard all over the world on airplanes and I've only had a problem once I have no idea how you can say that
Dream It Make It I mean more so relative to other penny products. You can definitely travel with this longboard like you said!
penny should make a drop through longboard. i swear i would be the firsst to purchase it
What I don't like about Penny's website fr the longboard, the specs don't indictate the dimensions beyond 36" long. What is the wheelbase ? What is the width of this board. Is the 7" truck the hanger width or axle width ? The reverse kingpins, are those 50 degree or 43 degree ? How do the trucks compare to industry leaders like Paris, Gullwing & others ? Most longboards come with 70mm wheels, and the Penny is indicated as using 63 mm. Their shorter boards are 59mm. You can't buy the trucks or wheels for the longboard as individual items, as upgrades on their website yet either. End of the day, the Penny LB is $ 149 + S&H. I put together a Sector 9 44" Peru 100% bamboo deck with the Paris V2 reverse kingpin 50 degree combo for $ 116 all delivered. Board pretty much is comparable to a Sector 9 complete with the Gullwing Charger reverse kingpin 50 degree trucks. I understand Penny caters to the complete skateboard market and listing specs might be confusing for someone that lacks the sophistication, but if you're comparing products, Penny eliminates themselves from a comparison of hardware by not providing the information. The Penny LB might be a better backup LB for the Sector 9 that I assembled ? But at $ 30+ more, I can build another Sector 9 and still have what expert reviews indicate are the best all around trucks on the market in the Paris V2's. Penny skateboards in that regard are overpriced.
Jim Camp totally get it, and I agree that penny is pretty vague compared to the competition. Fair points!
People take the piss outta me for having this board but I fuckin love it, it's easy to ride, quiet and great quality
It is called a LONGBOARD, so of course it is going to be bigger. But as far as longboards go, it is in the smaller length. If that's your gripe, that a Longboard is big, then that's not a gripe that is verification of a feature.
"Its the size of a regular long board but its huggggggge"
Tf?
Honestly this is more portable than my board I have a 44” one

DO A REVIEW ON THE PENNY BACKPACK
hold up.......penny boards arent for beginners??? i thought the penny longboard would be the toughest...
No! Pennys are actually really hard to ride and dangerous, people just give others shit for it because girls like them so much, as theyre smaller and "cuter"
Just subbed! Awesome vids. I've been riding a penny for about 5 years now and I love em!
TechTubeHD Reviews they're great products! Hoping to collab with Penny on a new video here before too long
Austin Black awesome! I'll be sure to check it out.
yo good thing you made this video i never saw any reviews for the board thanks 👏👏👏keep up the great work 👏👏👏👏
Thanks so much!
I learnt on a penny board when they first came out, got back into surfing, ice skating and roller blading too but I want to get back into skating (I still do the others) and I’m thinking the longboard would be more suited for cruising with my Australian cattle dog pulling me plus I like to look of it and it gives me beachy vibes
new subscriber here, really love your videos! keep it up man
coki thanks so much for subscribing! It means a lot. I'm glad you like the videos!! Let me know if there's anything you'd like to see on the channel
well maybe a review of the penny pouch?
coki I just got a dakine atlas bag for my penny 😨 so maybe down the line I'll review that!
i want something to ride thru amsterdam 22" 27" or 36"?
max I just went to Boston and NYC and I loved having the little 27'' penny board
Tf is how with those shorts?
ItzChase they're comfy!
Austin Black lol good enough for me
I love my penny longboard but it snapped when I jumped on it and it's a v2 I'm gonna buy a new one and this time not jump on it
Oh man.... That's certainly a bit concerning. I haven't had issues with my copy as you can see in the video, but maybe Penny has a bit of a quality control issue with these perhaps.
Ur editing is on point
I feel like this video had a lot of potential but you were comparing a longboard to a penny board way too much. The only similarities with the penny longboard and penny board is the hardware and plastic. The people who ride them are totally different markets
man my favorite is the penny longboards v2 no doubt
It's definitely a good choice! Personally, I love the 22'' Penny
is it really that bad for traveling? I don't have much of a choice here in Venezuela. This is the cheapest deck I found. And I need it for getting to uni
I try to downhill by sitting on the pennyboard what is better for this kind of downhill? 27" or 32"?
Can you tell me the size of the wheels. How is it different from the 27'' pennyboard?
I had my pennybiard as my first skateboard and the fkrst day that i got it i already could cruise around and ride of mountains
За усы, респект.Стильно выглядите

a u t i s t he’s helped me with sooooo many videos
beat?
Link in the description!
It's like he doesn't fully understand that it's a fucking longboard.
Wired Wildcat he does, he’s saying the size is massive compared to other penny boards that were known for their small portable sizes, that’s all. He knows without a doubt that penny longboards are even smaller than normal longboards haha
