- Not too shabby for one day! While mdf isn’t my favorite material, I do love that I’m never worried about working on those pieces. They are great for experimentation.

Wow!! That poor little bunged up table looks so pretty and elegant now!! Beautiful job Taryn!!
Thank you so much, Caroline!
This came out adorable. I love the softness about it. It went from beer to Champaign
Thank you, Tonya!
I can not believe how beautiful that turned out. Love it
Thanks so much, Pam!
Perfect stencil for the piece👏👏👏👏
Thank you, Mary!
Turned out lovely. I laughed out loud when you just ripped the back “leg” off hilarious. Never thought about using the epoxy for that application. Makes so much sense. Always learning …
Glad you enjoyed it! I had to get rid of that nonsense 😂
Had to stop the video when you said this so I wouldn't forget it: (when talking about adding the orange) "I know it seems kinda crazy, but... It's totally awesome." Words to live by!
Haha! Yes! Orange paint will now have a whole other meaning to me now that you made that association.
Resin work~ you needed to mention the precautions ventilating and respirators. This piece was a real challenge! Kudos for even attempting it… and over the moon with the result! You are so brave!
Thanks so much, Brenda!
@@elegantupgrades You are so very welcome! Very impressed with your Furniture MAGIC!
This is totally adorable! Simple but dolled up just enough :)
Thank you! 😊
Taryn….I absolutely ❤the color combo. It is so subtle and soft. Amazing even if MDF. You saved it from the trash. Yeah!
Thank you, Tammi!
She turned out so pretty Taryn! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you, Kim!!!
This is beautiful! You are very talented.
Thank you, you’re very kind ☺️
I love the “Buffing” the gold. Nice look! Very pretty!!

Glad you like it, Suzanne!
Ooohh, this turned out absolutely beautiful Taryn. I love it 😍
Thank you, Kim!
So Beautiful!! Can't believe all done in one day!
Thank you, Jeannie! It helped that it was just a little guy.
I learned a few new tricks from you today, Taryn! I never would have thought to use Amazing Casting Resin like that before and I like how you softened the Rub n Buff❣️
Oh I’m so glad, LaVonne!
Wow. You put lipstick on a pig and she turned out so lovely! That really did turn out great. 🙂
😂 That expression always cracks me up!
@@elegantupgrades lol. I try to not say that but it kept popping in my head! 😂😂
She's gorgeous!!!
Thank you, Linda!
i used this stuff called wood hardener to fix part of my rotted mailbox post. learned about it on an old house restoration channel. you dont need to mix it.
Interesting! It’s just called Wood Hardener? I’ll have to look into it.
@@elegantupgrades yes. just wood hardener. the top of my fancy mailbox post was rotting. It is cemented into the ground so I could not take it into the garage to fix it. I just took the finial off the top. Then scraped out the loose pieces. Then where the fiber was rotted but still looking like wood, I just poured on the wood hardener. Then I filled with 2 part epoxy wood filler and shaped the top back up. Looks really nice now.
Gorgeous final result 😍 I wouldn't pick it up if it had be me, but you're right, it's a beautiful piece in spite of all the problems 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks, Linda! They certainly aren’t my favorite things to work on, but still worth it occasionally.
Turned out so sweet & lovely! I had an old MDF bookcase that gave me nightmares because the "laminate" turned out to be a sticker & trying to lightly plaster the chunks & gouges then sand smooth without ripping the sticker was so frustrating as well as even with sanding lightly the primer wouldn't stick . Finally it sat sulking in a corner so long (ok, maybe I was sulking!) that the primer 'cured' onto it & I could finally get on with the painting. Never thought of using resin or poly to seal the damaged bits. I love that I can pick up a cheap piece now & know how to fix it as I have been avoiding the like the plague since then! Thank you once again for the teaching & the inspiration ❤❤
Thank you! I’m glad you picked up something from the video. And thanks for the chuckle- “ok, maybe I was sulking” I think I laughed so much because I’ve been there 😂
Hey there my friend...I just love that soft blend you did ..so Pretty ❣️🥰👍
Thank you so much, Debra!
Such a great idea for hardening the MDF!!! There is a wood hardening product though it's usually used on rotted wood. I agree, love stenciling with waxes rather than paint (though I do use paint). It's great you did that in one day! Lovely table, anyone would love this :)
Yes! Someone just mentioned that product in the comments. I’m going to look into it.
Very cute. And great tips on the rub n buff with wax
Thanks, Jackie! Glad you liked the wax tip!
Beautiful Taryn! 💕
Thank you, Cathy!
Such a sweet piece.
Thanks, Polly! It’s hard to mess up the French Prov style. It has such great curves.
I’m pretty sure this is the same as a nightstand we picked up in NC recently. I repainted it for my DIL. I didn’t realize it was md f at first because it was all painted. I sanded part of the top lip off! Somehow it came out okay, but your little piece is a real beauty!
Yeah! We got tricked 😂 MDF is for the birds. But at least we can still create something lovely and useable with them. It’s really hard to tell when they are painted.
Stunning!I just found your channel and I’m really enjoying watching your artistry!
Oh, I’m so glad, Cheri! Thanks for sticking around to watch and comment!
N-I-C-E save for a trashed piece!!!
Thank you, Anne!
What a fantastic job,,,it’s so beautiful
Thank you so much, Dodd!
I love that technique. Might have to try it.
It really turned out nice!
Thank you! I hope you do!
So pretty !
🙏
Thank you, Candace!
Oh you made this look so pretty
Thank you, Linda!
Can't wait! OMG, I just discovered Chalk Mountain paint, so nice to see you're a dealer!!
Hope you enjoy it, Stephanie! And I’m not a dealer- yet! I’m trying to get some things organized and hopefully soon I will be.
I love this piece! You did great, esp with only a few hours!!! Btw, super random, but you have very pretty hands!😍
Haha! Thank you, Tarrah! That’s so kind of you to say.
Beautiful!!
Thanks, Tracy!
So pretty!
Thank you, Cindy! 😊
Andersonville, Tennessee here!
Hey, Tracey!
Stunning, ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, Maureen!
now this project are the one I try to avoid. Every project is an opportunity to learn
You are absolutely right! I learn something every piece I do- even the ones I don’t love.
Pretty
So pretty 🤗
Thank you, Gina! 😊
Get a tripod. We couldn't see the beginning of the clear filler because your hands were in the way. Shellac to seal uncoated MDF. Just a thought. Nice fix.
Hi Taryn, it turned out beautiful! I love the stencil you used, but I didn't see it on your list. Could you add that? Thank you! You are truly an artist!
Oh! So sorry, Karen! Thanks for letting me know. I’ve updated it. And here’s the link for you:

Precioso😍😍😍💙
Thank you, Rosa! And thanks for being the premier!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Very 👏
Thanks, Caroline!
I like ty he subdued stencil work. What are you going to put as a retail price on it
?
Thanks, Richard! And I’m not sure yet, I still haven’t listed it. Probably between $60-$80 if I had to guess.
Was that deco page or poly
I’m not sure what specifically you are talking about as I didn’t decoupage anything. Are you referring to me sealing the back mdf? That was with poly.
It's beautiful. I love it!
Thank you so much!
