Yes some playable characters are part of the same family and more generally all the playable characters of a region can be more or less related to one another. You saw Shenhe who is the "aunt" of Chongyun at the end but there will be other examples : You reacted to Kamisato Ayaka in the last video I think. Well in a few demos you will have her older brother, Kamisato Ayato. You will also have three brothers and sisters later (Lyney, Lynette and Freminet). Anyway, Genshin is very rich in lore but also tries to create interesting interactions between characters. Once you're done with the demos, I would recommand reacting to the versions trailers.
Non genshin players usually thinks that this gotcha game doesn’t have a story.. But this is exactly the opposite, Genshin Impact has a very very strong and deep lore and planned 7 years in advance.. in fact Genshin biggest selling point is actually the lore and adventure

Bungou Stray Dogs Mayoi just retells the story of the anime, but there're also small events (as an excuse to get skins ig) and Fire Emblem Heroes has some luck-luster story beats, but the plot is original on top of all the characters from official games

Translator guy is here again. I want to explain about adding characters to the game as playable. Sometimes a character appears in the plot and trailers long before it becomes playable. For example, in 4.7, the version that comes out in a week, 3 new characters are added. One of them is Clorinde, who first appeared in plot 4.0, and she will only become playable now. And Arlecchino, released in 4.5, was first shown in the teaser before 3.0. And Dinesleif, the character appearing in the plot, was first shown before the game was released, also in one teaser, and he's still not in the game, although he should be. So it's okay. I would also really like you to watch the teasers (not demos) of the characters and some plot teasers (but you need to choose carefully, since most of them contain spoilers)
