    Just had an iron fitting and the 923 forged stole the show. Was going in looking at the Taylormades and Srixons but these blew them out of the water. Great video!

    Been for a fitting today i had the p790s previously then swapped into the t300 irons. On my fitting today the 923 came out on top of all the irons i tried. Feel, sound, dispersion, felt great. Just got a couple of weeks wait now.

    I really liked that you compared these with a swing speed in the high 70’s. Much more informative for me. Thank you, Ric

    I just fit into the 923 forged. Needed the spin and less left. Basically had the exact same experience as you. Titleist irons are out of the bag for the first time since the mid 90s.

      I had the same results in a fitting. First time without Titleist irons in 25 years.

    Played titiliest for ever and spent 2 hours in a fitting. Ended up with mizuno on distance, depression height, the full month mizuno is it. I’m a ten now as i broke my back (6 vertebrae0 healed now) and want to get back to a 4normal-5 index

    I'm happy you mentioned the lie angles. Titleist seems to be more upright across their lineup.. Mizuno tends to be more flat, then you got guys like Callaway right in the middle. Do you think a more upright lie favors the player that has a hard time getting a swing path to the right?

    • @darrinlygrisse5287
      @darrinlygrisse5287 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Then get them bent/fitted for your swing. Standard lies should be of zero concern if properly fitted.

    Had the same experience the T 200s wanted to go left hard! The 923s checked every box for me and i hit every brand iron during my fitting nothing was close to them for me

    I didn't test out the Mizuno options when I bought a couple of years ago, I went with the T200s and have been very happy with them although I thought about getting a mixed set getting 6-W in the T100 or T100s

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah honestly they are both fantastic irons, wouldn't be disappointed with either, as long as they are properly fitted 👌 and yes they can definitely combo well with the T100-S, I play the 100-S and got a 4 iron in the T200 and they are amazing

    I have tested all the new popular irons including the new t 200. I ordered the forged 923, they feel great

    You didn't give a comparison about looks, sound and feel. Any thoughts here?

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      T200 wins down by the ball for me, slightly more compact look. But the older T200 was definitely very clicky and high pitch, whereas the Mizuno is definitely more of a forged and duller sound and feel. So Mizuno easily wins on sound and feel 👍

  • @redson425
    @redson425 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I query why you would bother to do this comparison when the new T200 is due out in a few weeks. Surely it would have been better to compare to the latest version?

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a very good point, main answer is because I wanted to 😂 and it's a very interesting comparison I feel that will help people further down the line when looking at buying second hand sets ect. The new T200 has some more tweaks which would actually make this exact video less interesting, but the changes that have been made are definitely an improvement. I actually think numbers wise the new one will be basically the same as the 923 Forged. But can't wait to see! Will have loads of content coming on the new ones too when they are out 👌

    Just did an iron fitting (HCP16) and JPX923 / T200 where in the final - winner at the and was JPX923 and now I have to wait a month

    • @epgolfstudios

      Yeah Mizuno aren't the quickest unfortunately 😂 but great irons though and I'd they are the right ones for then they will be worth the wait 🙌

    Would be interesting to see this comparison done again at slower swing speed with the new T200 that is soon to be released. I understand there is soon to be a 245 iron released also. Thanks, Ric

    How would you compare JPX 923F to MP 225 for high 80s swing speed?

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think there will be much difference in them to be honest. Think the 923 may spin a little bit more so I would probably edge towards that for a slower swing speed. However, when fitting for irons swing speed certainly isn't the first consideration, it's all about your angle of attack and delivered loft. If you're someone who hits the ball quite low then neither of those irons will be the best for you, you would want something with more loft, however if you launch and spin the ball quite high then they may well be great. Definitely a lot more to consider than just swing speed. 👍

    Time for an update. 😁
    Or maybe new T200 vs Hot Metal Pro

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว

      As in the video or your irons? 😂 Yeah well really the Hot Metal Pro Would be more in the category of the T350 in terms of size and loft. The Forged and the T200 are much more comparable 👍 maybe an update soon we will see. I've just got so many videos I can do at the moment 🤔🤔🤔

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว

      And no where near enough time to do them 😂😂

  • @MrMatthew262
    @MrMatthew262 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wouldn’t the average lower spin be slightly explained by the left misses?

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely would in general yes. More closed face equals less loft and therefore less spin. But the T200 (old model now) is definitely just a lower spin head anyway. Even when I hit one pretty straight it still seemed 3-500 revs lower spin than the same shot with the Mizuno

    • @MrMatthew262
      @MrMatthew262 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@epgolfstudios I played the t200 and did find it very low spin. I was hitting the 9 iron 160 yards with a normal, non aggressive swing so the more control of the Forged would be ideal. I could play a more players iron but hate small, unforgiving heads.

      Not a clue sorry 😂 I filmed this ages ago. Looks like a Fujikura Axiom though. Probably a 105 X

  • @SweenBeanUK
    @SweenBeanUK ปีที่แล้ว

    Interesting with the lie angles. Thought these were standard across the board. As I play the T200 2* flat and struggle with that left miss. Would 3/4* flat be an option or would a swing change be more beneficial?

  • @golfnut6129
    @golfnut6129 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can you demo something that is mid to low launch and low spin? Is there such a beast?

    • @epgolfstudios
      @epgolfstudios  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah a game improvement iron 😂 best looking club that would fit that bill would be the Cobra Forged Tec X. I'd hit it about 220 though 😂
