Beautiful work, but I don't understand the step-flash look of the side pans. I'd make the bends in the lock and wall flashing itself. The eye wants to follow straight lines and the horizontal lines throw off the ascetics.

Can you explain your design solution for the "sides" of this roof starting at 1:52 ? Why the overlapping folds (not actually sure what's going on there)? Thanks man, your videos are informative and fascinating.
Simple.. there is no other way to make the sides going up the wall in one piece.. Every other application on curved surface will require two or more pieces of copper.. I wanted to do one... you can do 2, which is totally ok..
I can wrap my head around why you need the vertical portion to overlap on itself, but still not sure why the "flat" portion needed to be lapped on itself like that.
The way I tackle the piece against the wall is to bend 1" up the wall so you can shrink it to the curve. Then on the wall either solder or flat look a piece onto the curved panel. Great execution on this method though.
curved roof = has too much money! ... lead coated copper, eh? What gauge of stainless would be as easy to work with? any gauge, or it just won't work as well?
hey igor in 0,46min we see that you curved the metal.... you curved with e spezial tong? and than letter we see a picture with the ather metal curved like the Same system please tell me the trick
You need a shrinker. Could have bent the funky step flashed part with one pan. Shrink a 1" bend on the pan against the wall and solder the flashing 4" part going up the stone wall flat on the ground. Shrinker stretcher tools are made for this type of work and look so much sleeker than stove pipe clamps which make wonky marks. Looks great from 20' though.
Hi Igor, I've been watching your videos, I'm a 15 years roofer and I was wondering if you know how to seam the hip with out folding the seamer on both sides, i know you are one of the best, if you don't mind I really appreciate if you can help me with some pictures on how to do it, keep up the good work 👍

Stainless wont work unless you want to break your hands and tools. try Roofinox, google it..

i guess you mean a crimper or round nose pliers.. i dont bend anything on 0:46
