Had another team made the 2019 grand final against Richmond the final scores would probably have been different but the result would have been the same however. There was no other team in the finals or the whole competition who could have beaten the Tiges on GF day. That kind of power, determination, speed, game intelligence, reactive intuition and above all, teamwork and family attitude was utter unbeatable.
Eagles probably only side that could have but travelling finally caught up with compared to the heavily bias afl giving Richmond a run of 8 or 9 home games leading up to the finals sprinkled with away games to cellars dwellers crows and the gold coast.If Richmond played an equal amount of games way from the MCG they be lucky to make the eight,protected species and away stats are pathetic against quality opposition. Anyway no cares or will remember the 2019 gf and defineteley won't be brought up in the same sentence like the 2018 gf

@@russe19642 you're not thinking like a footballer. I would want Richmond playing at the g every week, exposes their game style and makes them predictable. And all the sides the played at the MCG in the run to finals were all competitive sides, 2 were top 4 and west coast reigning premiers and gws who had a decent finals record in recent times who made the grand final that year. The bloke is spot on, no one was stopping Richmond, and the only thing that helped was them sticking to their plan and process after the bye was over. 12 straight for their 12th flag.

@@russe19642 I've lost a few comments on here now that I've noticed that I don't know why but I did notice what you're comment men and I did right back to it but that comments not there, but I get why you said second AFL flag because you don't count VFL, which is sad but what you seem to forget mate is that every team that's in the AFL that played in the VFL played against each other and the VFL expanded into the AFL and that's why they have all their flags and others don't, Glenelg and all that didn't win their flags against Richmond Collingwood South Melbourne Footscray Melbourne Hawthorn eccetera eccetera, if the sanfl had of expanded the AFL with Port Adelaide Glenelg excetera excetera then Richmond and all that would be the expansion teams with no flags except for the AFL ones but that's not the way it when we were the ones who expanded into the AFL that's why our the vfl premierships are counted as AFL ones

When Rance was declared injured for the season, many of us thought a premiership was impossible. Before the bye many thought we'd barely scrape into the finals. To win 11 in a row, It's been a remarkable comeback in the context of the 2019 season.
Snowman Rance is one player. Anyone who wrote tigers off after that knows nothing about footy.

Richmond were always up there as favourites. It’s not really a very big story to be honest
Lost their 5x all Australian defender to acl for the season, Riewoldt for 4 to his wrist then 8 to a knee, short from round 3-15? Something like that, nankervis was out from round 11-qualifying final, Cotchin missed 11 games over the year with his hamstring, houli had issues, jack Higgins with the brain bleed and surgery, 7-6 bye round 9th on the ladder with 92% then finished equal first but 3rd by percentage 16-6 and that was with defeating Collingwood west coast Brisbane and gws, then beat Brisbane up there, defeated flag favourites Geelong and then beat gws again for the flag, 12 wins for 12 premierships. They were written off good and proper and with good reason, if you actually pay attention to those details then yes "don't believe in never" is very much appropriate here.
