I been watching bisping for a while now I honestly think they were joking about this stuff . I think Ariel over exaggerating , he honestly sounds salty . But I love them both , bisping is one of my faves . Bisping was wrong but that doesn’t mean he was being disrespectful .

If someone broke that big of news in any other sport and it wasn’t confirmed for a week everyone else would have a laugh. As usual Ariel takes a little joke as an assault on his character and burns another bridge just so he can say i was right and get another trophy.

Idk why ppl would be mad at Ariel for this. He was the only guy was keeping us updated on the situation and considering those that were planning on going to the fight, he at least gave them the opportunity to cancel ahead of the news officially breaking out. Those ppl that waited are now stuck trying to sell their tickets and cancel their flights, hotel, etc. they initially spent a lot of money on.

@@beejj6190 watch the video! He clearly explains at that time there was optimism for the fight to still happen as Conor and his team were attempting to carry on despite the injury. Conor must have suffered another setback in the following days hence the fight being called off for good. You’re the one with selective memory as when Ariel had made that comment about the fight still being on it was in regard to where they stood that present time but that things could change and the status was day to day.

Yup, for those like me that were planning on going to the event he saved me the headache of buying the tickets, flight, hotel, etc. only to have to cancel everything once the new officially broke.

I haven't been the biggest fan of Ariel the last few years, but the man knows journalism. If he reports something, you can take it to the bank.

Its not hard to win arguments when you keep getting layups from guys like Schaub, Pimblett and Bisping. Helwani is still one of the most dishonest people in MMA.
This is because he doesn't accept when he is wrong, there are many times he got dealt with but he wouldn't show you that would be, got watch some of the independent MMA channels they expose him every other day.
Helwani knew about as much as the average fan over the last 2 weeks. He's not a journalist, he's a bottom feeder.

TLDR: Conor got injured, the press conference got cancelled, The UFC waited with the hope he would recover in time, Conor was declared unfit to fight due to the injury, then the fight was cancelled.
Ariel coming in strong at the end with a 10-9 on Bisping without even trying. I'm a fan of both, but still, Ariel is still batting 1000.

Chandler learned a really hard lesson here… “you’ll do what you’re told”. Definitely feel for him but the man should’ve seen this coming.
I am speculating, but maybe Chandler gets Conor at MSG and maybe a bigger payday plus more time to get bigger. Glass half full.

what bisping and a lot of other people miss is that there are fans that dropped a LOT of money to attend 303 expecting connor to be there, and the sooner the know if its cancelled or not, the sooner that can adjust plans, cancel reservations, etc. ariel reporting on 303 status isnt gossip for the fans, its information for the consumers.

Good point I never thought of it that way. As a massive UFC I hope to go to a UFC event in Vegas one day. Being that I'm in Australia it's likely I would pick a big card or a big name being on it. Connor would def be draw for me. I'm not a casual so it's not necessarily for Connor specifically, but he def creates a spectacle. The build up, the fans, the walk out etc. Even though Alex and Jiri are still a great fight id rather know earliest possible before I plan probably a once in a lifetime trip

The fact Ariel's trying to take credit for Bisping winning the title is that of a snake, Which Ariel is as we all know. All the dude did is ring Bisping up to say Weidman is out. It's Dana that gave him the shot, or do you actually think Ariel had any influence with Danae giving the shot to him on such late notice when the other guys were out injured? Dana offered him the shot on a couple of weeks notice and Bisping took the chance and won. I bet all those interviews Bisping gave to Ariel were free and helped Ariel out a lot to establish himself, so it's a two way street. Ariel claims they're friends but then says they haven't talked in 2 years. Why didn't he ring him like a man if they were friends and say he was upset with what he said?, is there something wrong with Ariels phone?

Though I don't agree with everything he says, I think he is one of the best journalists with the likes of John S Nash, Mike Russell et al., we have in MMA.
I also think he just levelled up.

Its all well and gokd worh ariel gloating BUT when the press conference was cancelled many said jt might be cancelled due tk possible issue, helwani had a go a tpeople and gave an impassioned speech that conor never pulls out etc insinuating fight is still on and nothing to worry about. But really he knew the injury was serious. Next time ariel shouldnt shut down others concerns and then a week later try claiming some victory
