There are people shooting above 55% from three with both square and rhythm shooting as point guards and spot-ups. Maybe it’s more about your approach. Also, using the right stick to dribble and rhythm shoot isn’t as hard as you think; you just haven’t practiced enough. It’s much more consistent than using the square button because of the mechanics. You might also just have a bad jumper if you’re struggling.

You right. I can shoot but these shot timings are crazy, missing wide open greens because you locked in on your visual cue. It's not that we can't shoot enough. It just isn't consistent and makes it really difficult to create a formula. It's all up to chance at this point and whats worse is you're capped at whatever overall you're at.

NBA players not only have to release their shot perfectly, they also have to aim perfectly enough to make the shot. You’re proving my point lol you want the perks of unrealistic basketball while wanting a realistic basketball game. You’re gonna have a different jumpshot release from the midrange vs the 3 point line. Your shot will be also different on a wide open catch and shoot vs a contested catch and shoot. You’re not releasing the ball with your normal timing if you’re being guarded by a taller defender. My best advise is to learn how to rhythm shoot. And if you’re getting Al of these timings on your shot, then you have a trash jumpshot.

What I’ve noticed is they’re not makin your shot slower per say. More so taking time before lettin your player do the animations. Sometimes I hold x and it takes the player a good amount of time to even do the shot animation. Sometimes I hold x and he does the animation right away. Dribbling for example. Sometimes your player do fluky shit after a dribble move that makes your player take a lil longer before getting the shot animation off. I honestly think the game just unfinished and they’re usin rng to give em sometime to fix the game. Even Mike Wang knows it’s stupid to make shootin like this I promise. Every year game is buns at start of year and then near Christmas it start to get better cuz all the noobs get on.
Let me explain; there’s a lay up timing, a dribble pull up timing, a go to shot timing, a contested shot timing, a open shot timing, a corner shot timing, a catch and shoot timing, a close shot timing, post shot timing; and also not to mention if you pick a certain shot from a nba player’s shot, not only do you have to learn the visual cue, but you also have to learn the timing of that too..

Normal risk helps. Leaning the use the shot stick works well too. Sottong well over 50% now. Learning curve is a mf tho.
