This battle isn't a million miles from the bible. Not completely accurate, but good v evil, and good wins is the beginning and the end, missing out all the details. Just like every book, and movie I've been through. TTFN.
Its only Andi(vocals) and Dani(drums) in this version. The other instruments is replaced with the symphonic orcestra. No guitars.😊
Originally, these 3 songs were on 3 separate albums. The albums with Halloween and Keeper of the Seven Seas were released in 1987 and 1988 respectively. It would be 17 years before we got King for 1,000 years as the final part. So, the fluid transition from one song into another is only found in The Keeper's Trilogy version. How they managed to take roughly 40 minutes of music and turn them into a cohesive story only 17 minutes in length is yet another testament to their greatness. I think you hit the nail on the head when you mention there being moments of perfection here, and I agree 100% that one of them is the end of King for 1,000 years when the drums, orchestra and singers come together.
Randi, I'm sure you didn't know what journey I was about to send you on when you asked "Does Helloween have any other songs with an orchestra?" lol. So, I really am happy that so seemed to have enjoyed these songs this much. This was again performed with the Prague Symphony Orchestra (as well as the members of Helloween), and their choral company. Thank you for taking the time to give Helloween their time in the spotlight, they certainly deserve it! If I've not mentioned it recently, I greatly enjoy your reactions so thank you for taking the time to edit these long songs! It is very much appreciated!! Have a great one, Randi!

Also, did you know they did a metal version of The Keeper's Medley? They performed it live at Wacken 2011, it is also in a different order which is pretty cool. (Keeper, King for 1000, then Halloween)

Like a sound track to a rock opera. Similarities to King Diamond, and a hint of Meatloaf here and there that all add up this storm in a tea cup type music. Fantastic combination. Truly out on it's own resisting any label to fit it into any given genre.. I heard no guitar at all. Symphonic with rock drumming, and of course an accomplished singer. The song from beginning to end can take us through a range of extreme feeling as of being subject to on heck of a journey across oceans where the seas are all thing from calm to dramatically fierce. The subject matter of the song was mostly lost on me as I failed to discern a good portion of the lyrics. But I think I had the gist of the theme being based on scripture.
Anything that gives Randi this much joy is good in my eyes.

I normally put the lyrics in the comments, but got busy and forgot, lol. They're there now if you care to take a peek. Basically, its an epic story of a "chosen one." The Halloween song ends with the person saying he will fight against the evil one for all mankind. As it goes into Keeper of the 7 Keys... This person is meant to go on a treacherous quest to seal Satan away by throwing the Seven Keys into the Seven Seas (greed, ignorance, etc.). The King for 1,000 years song (the ending portion of this trilogy) is what would happen if Satan had convinced the chosen one NOT to throw the final key, and instead rule for 1,000 years at his (the devil's) side.
