Tony Rice was a firm believer in NOT storing a capo behind the nut or on the peghead, said it took away from the sound and tone, you won't find any pics or videos of him doing it. great info here thanks for sharing!
I have 2 Kckinney capos a 2 Elliot's which are the same and while they are decent capos, I like my Shubb Fine Tune better and its cheaper. I don't like the tubing on the Elliots as they get dents in the tubing very quickly. I've used Shubb rubbers on them and they performed much better. My opinion..The expensive ones aren't really worth the money, as far as i'm concerned as they don't work and better than the others.
i bought a Keyser capo a very long time ago and the very first time in used it on my Alvarez Yairi guitar, it put a deep dent in the neck. it really pissed me off and i threw the capo away and sold the guitar! I never use a capo that is unadjustable.
