I got the magcubic hy320 from temu and the Home Screen doesn’t look ANYTHING like this, it won’t let me play Netflix off my phone while plugged in. Any suggestions?
Netflix has a security feature that blocks/hides the screen when attempting to share, similar to banking apps. Find a way to by pass it or use mirroring apps.
You missed few points, it have airplay and Miracast, both working well. On Temu current price is 35$… Netflix on this one need mouse as seems is mobile version, which is fine as it have Bluetooth to connect, both mouse and speaker… for my taste integrated speaker is not loud enough, so I use Bluetooth..bottom line for this money absolute Best Buy plus picture is good. Android have all needed apps (max, eon, VLC for streaming from media server…). As you said, they did cut corners but they did it smart that you can totally ignore it and have functional smart projector with very solid picture
Temu will have sellers who want to move goods fast, so they tend to sell at cost at times just to get new stock or get high ratings. I appreciate your input.
HY300 now is 35$ now that’s a deal for anyone on low budget, yes this one has more lumens and it claims 1080p instead of 720p still that difference is barely noticeable when you have two projectors side by side

Do you also experience internet speed issues? When I run a speed test on other devices at the same distance from the modem, I get good results, but with this device, the download speed doesn’t go above 3 Mbps. So, watching movies, etc., is impossible. However, when I use Miracast for screen mirroring, I don’t face this issue...
I just got mine and I have to say it is a nice projector, I had a minor problem at the beginning but resolved it, it was a newbie issue with focus. As soon as I unlocked the focuser, it is crystal clear. I like this little projector.
Another problem is the hight latency even in HDMI, sadly it can't be used for gaming (unless you play turn based games or classic jrpg). I have a problem, can I ask you if you have the same? In HDMI the top-half of the screen is out of sync, it produce a lot of tearing, while the bottom-half flow smoothly enought. Can you try it? To reproduce the problem, launch any fps game and rotate slowly, possibily in front of a house or a wall (the sky is a clear color, you may not notice the problem). If you have my same problem, you may notice screen tearing and lower frame rate than the bottom of the image. This problem only affect HDMI
Tested, worked as expected, duplicate, extended screen, and so on. The lag is there, but it's negligible, especially when you factor in that it's not advertised for gaming.
Just got mine , very very noisy , good picture . I noticed that in order the have the center and all corners in focus projector should be in the midde.

Yes, but dont expect a smooth experience. Sometimes, websites and videos will require plug-ins that are not available on the device to be able to play.

I'll pick one up if my TV ever dies. That said, I feel like the plastic lens would lead to screen burn in a matter of months and wondering if you can connect external devices to it and shut off the speakers (so it is only doing video). I would want to run my Sony receiver out to this.
The lens is made of glass, and it makes no sense to try and save on glass. And yes! You can turn off the sound and connect your PS via the HDMI or even Samsung Dex.
I just received this. My issue is it won't auto correct the angle no matter what. Its always off angle. I tried updating it, turning on/off auto correct, "initial angle correction" Am i missing something?
If making sure that auto correct isnt turned on didn't fix the issue, try to gently clean what seems like an IR blaster on the front of the projector, that's the hardware responsible for calculating the angle to auto correct.
Its contrast limitation due to the technology used. You would get better results with DLP projector, but it costs significantly more. I'm searching for a decent budget specs DLP projector and will be posting a video in case I found a suitable one. Stay tuned.

The software is buggy sometimes. Try updating the software and see if it helps. You can also use it with Chromecast, which is much more stable and fluid.
If you are a nerd, you could try changing the COP LED chip. have one that has more brightness at more watts. Basically these are sold at very cheap prices. I noticed that these types have a nasty bleeding of light if you zoom in to 80% or less. The LCD is not capable of blocking the inactive pixels. There is no optical zoom, only digital. Same with keystone. You must always bring the projector closer to the screen, a problem in a larger room. Despite all this it is a remarkably good projector, has decent sound. If possible I would recommend you to hack the Android version, that way you can disable a lot of services and bloatware. Use only HDMI-in source and disable Bluetooth and wifi.
Hello QUADBOY, very insightful! I recently picked up a soldering station with hot air, and I'm tempted a bit to apply your tip! The bit about HDMI is very practical, I found that using Google Chromecast 3, is far more stable and easier to use vs the provided Android, it eliminates the need for a remote and you can control the setup using your phone.
@@RandomTeq I also noticed a slight improvement when a dongle (GoogleTV or FireTV) is set to output 1080p and the projector also. Somehow dithering improves.
@@RandomTeq it might even be possible to increase the COP LED voltage with a simple adjustment of a pot on the board. It basically is probably lower to decrease heat building with a small and insufficient fan. Worth investigating.
I had to go back and check it. I honestly couldn't see any. If you suspect something, it might be the result of the camera, not the projector. In person, it looks absolutely fine.

Ram: 1GB, Rom: 8GB I had issues with apps through the app store, so i resorted to downloading apk files, because of the limited memory, they do tend to crash, however onworI manage to actually get the app to work, it continues to work until I exit. To keep the setup compact and easier to manage, the best option is to use it with a Chromecast. This way, I can control using my phone. Best of luck, and thanks again for the support.
I think the key take away, is that the technology in this line of products is getting better and cheaper. I can't comment on the damage part, but the same thing goes for smartphones and our posture. I remember a few years back, there was a myth that watching TV more than a certain amount of time per day can damage your eyes.

There's an IR blaster located on the front next to the projector lens. Try cleaning it a little and see if that helps.

Yes, there's some inconsistency with internet speed, I get better results when using the projector to mirror other devices.
