Wow! I just loved watching that video! I could watch for hours! It has so many levels, it’s a story, simulation, war-game and fun all wrapped into one! The Napoleonic era is one of my favorite periods in time! Thank you!!

Outstanding! I would love to see a full playthrough of this game.
Also, I see Napoleon Against Europe is currently out of print. That is too bad, I was ready to buy a copy after watching this video.

    Hey Stuka Joe,
    OUTSTANDING JOB!
    Question-
The square blocks on the board for the army's did you make those or do they come come with the game? If home made please tell me how to?
    Thank you

Thank you. The blocks I made. I did some stickers images for the blocks in PowerPoint, printed them on sticker paper and pasted them on to the wooden blocks. I purchased the color blocks in Amazon.

      Thank you!
Those are great! I will try to duplicate.
Is it just the country emblem on all four sides?
How do you incorporate them into game play?
      Any input I would appreciate.
      :)

The images are of the national flags for each of the major powers: Britain, France, Austria, Russia, Prussia and the Ottoman Empire. The stickers I made, I believe are 5/8”. I added the name of the Army. I made four stickers for each army and pasted them to each of four sides of each block. Leave the top and bottom sides without a sticker. On the top side I place the counter of the commanding general. These army blocks simply substitute the army counters included in the game. I like the blocks, since they stand out on the map and armies have different rules than those for forces. Hope this helps. Cheers.

I use the word “block”, but they are really wooden cubes, 5/8” in size for each side. This matches the size of the counters which are also 5/8 of an inch. Cheers.

One more thing. I laminated the front side of the sticker paper. Therefore, the stickers are laminated. The lamination protects the image well and gives it a bit of gloss. Cheers.

I find napoleonic games are best at the operational level.
The interwar periods r really not covered...

Question... The French did NOT annex Warsaw, and Napoleon's Army vacated Warsaw to return to it's own frontier. The French control markers being removed should mean that all the territories controlled during 1806 but not annexed return to the defeated Prussia. Wouldn't this mean that PRUSSIA, and not the Empire, now controls Warsaw, and that during the next Political Phase, Poland could not be created?

Joe, I played this game four years ago. I really don't remember if the game has special rules for the creation of the Duchy of Warsaw when the French conquer Warsaw from the Prussians. It could be the case. Cheers!

Great video series. So for a review, how would you rate it?

I love the game. I haven't played a full game, though. I have to admit that I'm very fond of Napoleonic strategic games (played a lot of War & Peace). I'm aware that the rulebook of this game has some problems (e.g. not much redundancy) and some rules are too loosely written. I think that the game is an amended rulebook away from perfection. I hope they put out a second edition English rulebook some time soon.

Muchas gracias por tu trabajo. Podrías decirme cuánto dura una partida?

    • @StukaJoe
      @StukaJoe  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

+Alberto Mora Pavon Gracias, Alberto.
