The first time I saw this episode, it immediately reminded me of Jojo's Star Crusaders' Set's Alessi episodes. This is a loving reference to that even the ending with Lance winning over Sitter Baby. The 2nd season has a lot of Jojo's references, including the part with Mash's "running away" tactic. Mashle also made an unforgettable reference to YYH's Kurama in the first season episode 8 with Shuen who has red hair and uses a rose whip. Kurama happens to be my most favorite YYH character and Jotaro in Jojo's. So, thank you Mash! You're making me love and appreciate you more!
