All I can say is, Tanya you are the best, I got this as a birthday gift in September with all those beautiful purple flowers, they are all gone but the foliage is still pretty. You said all that I wanted to know, thanks.
Great video! Your enthusiasm and love for the plants really shows. I fell in love with a pink calla lily (identical to yours) at Lowes and had to bring it home even though I had no idea what to do with it. It's still beautiful a month later, though the flower stems keep deflating and the flower falls over. I clip them off and put them in a vase. Hopefully this is the natural progression of things and not something I'm doing wrong. 🙂
What a pleasure to listen to! Personality plus, and a wealth of practical knowledge to boot! New sub here. Looking forward to future videos. PS- Have a pot of black callas 11 years old in Zone 6b I've brought in each winter to my cold room (in their pot!). With trepidation, split them last year, but they did fine in the end. Just brought them out this week; hoping I wasn't too early ;-)
Jam in the Uk and I love Arum Lilies I cut them down after flowering and cover the ,ground. With mulch not if this method is ok please give your come t
Thank you for your tip. So interesting. I think I want to growth it not just because it's beauty but you make me think it's easy to care of it. I have to buy first😳😳😳
Very informative person thank you for very much I am new to the calla lily and I do want to know how to take care of it I'm in Arizona and mine has died back I'm trying to find out what months it actually grows you said The warm months but here in Arizona we're always warm I'll keep it in the house cuz our sun is too hot but let it get the morning Sun

Now I just removed it and what I see barely one to two roots and lots of bulbs and eyes on it not a single leaves sprouting it's spring season now in my area bit of cold and warm mixed what would you suggest? I don't want to plant it outside but it's totally fine to be dormant and not flower for periods.how do I wake it up to flower again with it still indoors?
It is not poisonous to touch or smell (as far as I know and have grown them for about 40 years) but they are poisonous to eat - take care with pets and children that they do not taste or ingest any of it.
Please Miss, not sure what your name is...I just bought an Asiatic (very bright orange) beautiful. I live it the mountains, in snow, in winter..Oct. to May sometimes we get it in July...anyways, I just got a mini-pin 2 yr old and she is wanting to chew on the green roots (bottom) of the lily? First of all are any kind of Lily poisonous to dogs, 2nd...can it withstand snow, rain, and high heat? Direct sunlight/or complete shade is what I have on both sides of my apt. Help me do the right by my dog, and my plant. Oh, and 3rd, can you tell me if it can live without planting in the garden?...or just leave it in original holder when purchased. Love your video. and your accent. From Calif. thank you
These lilies are toxic to dogs, please try to keep your dog away from it. Also, it's a tropical plant so won't survive snow and extreme cold. Keep it in a shady but well lit area in your house during winter. Not in direct sunlight unless it's morning sun. You can keep it in the pot you bought it in for a little while but it will need to be repotted eventually.
Thanks for answer. Because plants was to big and start foling down I cut all toll Leafs . Now I have a many new and I know she likes wet soil / it's indoor plant / . I don't know if calla will produce any flowers again, I see .....
Love this video!! The butts hanging on the wall in the back are adorable! I want them!! What should I do with the current blooms that have bloomed and are closing back up?? Should I cut them away or let them die back?
my arumlilies the flowers are drying out and the greenery isn’t intense please help the shoots are lime green i love this plant i need to transfer it to a bigger pot i water it once daily
She's great. But having seen the Titan arum and the corpse fruit flowers, I was interested to know if white arums can be pollinated to fruit? And what beetle would do it, since sweet aromas rather than the bitter ones emanated by the latter sibling? Thank you, this helped a lot though.
best Calla/Arum Lily video ever! Love your passion for plants :)
Thank you
Your tips made my plant alive again.

Callas are one of the few plants that can keep their roots in water. They are only hardy in the garden in winter in very warm climates.
you are the only one on TH-cam or ekspert sites that call them Arum, nobody els do.
You are quite fantastic to watch! Thank you for your in-depth video!

I am back, one more thing. I also purchased a reg. redish Cala lily..and would like to know if I can re-plant it in the dirt?
I have bought 2 callas from my grocery store. All bloomed out and pretty. Soon the flowers die then the stems turn yellow. What am I doing wrong?
nice video I have a question: Is this flower poisonous to touch or smell?
It is not poisonous to touch or smell (as far as I know and have grown them for about 40 years) but they are poisonous to eat - take care with pets and children that they do not taste or ingest any of it.
I cut the bulb into 2... What do you think will happen? Did i just kill the plant? 😭
Nope, it'll make new plants

Are these invasive in the garden? I'm getting mixed information from Google.
Do you prune them back when they go dormant?
Yes
I got my first Arum from builders last week. One of the leaves has become yellow in color what do I do with it and how do I handle it?
It could just be going into dormancy. Or the plant is thirsty
