Since you've transformed the Silent Mary set to what she was like before the curse, and since you've beautifully recreated the Dying Gull in Lego form, then why not take the Lego Black Pearl and make it looks a lot closer to what it was in the film, and maybe later the Queen Anne's Revenge
MOC YOUR BRICKs I cannot wait to see it. If the Dying Gull and Silent Mary had turned out this good, I can only imagine how a ship like the Black Pearl will turn out! Also, have you thought of putting your skills to the ultimate test by building the HMS Dauntless/Endeavor, the Interceptor, or even the Flying Dutchman?
It sadly wouldn’t make it. LEGO Ideas has a new rule, where they won’t accept any projects under a theme that they already posses (in this case POTC.) So as cool as it would be to have an official Dying Gull from LEGO Ideas, The LEGO Group wouldn’t let it happen :P
“Be prepared to drown!” As Master Gibbs would say, haha! Looks amazing dude, the Dying Gull was one of my favorite parts of POTC 5, and it’s awesome to see it in LEGO! I’m kinda surprised that there wasn’t actually a Dying Gull set to go with the Silent Mary.
Its stupid the fact that lego is/was so lazy with the potc franchise. They couldve added this and could add the flying dutchman, and could redo the black pearl. I dont understand why lego is so lazy..
I literally tried to build this same ship with the same hull and reference pictures. However, I didn't have money to buy extra pieces to make it happen. I find it funny how Lego is a reminder that creativity is nothing without the money. As a kid I played with them and had boxes and boxes, yet I would see a new stop motion or new wave of sets and be just as dissatisfied. I would know exactly what I needed to build something but it would be just that far out of reach. I had so so so many pieces, but none were the piece or color I needed. No matter what I had, Lego showed me it would never be enough to satisfy me once I got addicted. Really eye opening display of Materialism and a depressing end to childhood.
Late comment, but I've only just come across this vid. The Dying Gull- the very real ship used in the movie, was converted from a small Tall Ship I helped build and sail, called the Rainbow Gypsy. She was built in Burnett Heads, Qld Australia, and after some years plying the Qld coast and parts of the South Pacific, was made available to the movie studio to create the Gull, as the owner/builder was employed as Head Rigger on a couple of the Pirates movies! I helped step that mainmast, rig it all, and worked that rig, as the ship's Topman. The plans for the 'Gypsy were lofted from the design of a Scottish "Bawley" a type of sailing trawler. She was steel hulled, 50', originally featured a mainmast and a mizzen, and ran two heads'lls, a fore-and-aft boom rig on both masts, as well as a square-rigged main and tops'll- That is to say; she was Ketch-rigged, squared-on-the-main. The highlight of my time with her was when the Captain, his son, and I sailed her back from the Solomon Islands to Qld after the crew decided that they didn't like Tall Ship sailing after all, a 6 day crossing. Many years after moving away, and parting company with the ship, I was astounded to find that she had gone on to become a movie star! My hands have touched every part of that rig, and it was all traditionally rigged in the 18th century manner from tar, hemp ropes and hand-made dead-eyes, and every mention of the Dying Gull I encounter online reminds me of that wonderful time. So congratulations, you have managed to capture her likeness with that hull and rig very well. Google images of "Rainbow Gypsy, Burnett Heads" or see buckwriter.wordpress.com/2014/12/28/the-rainbow-gipsy-the-dream-of-a-life/ to see the original ship...
Wow just wow I've seen many people make this I even have but this is the best one this is awesome like the silent Mary I loved that one I love this one too
Iv been searching around the internet for my dream to come true about mean building different pirate ships but you made my dream come to life and I thank you for that😎😎😎😎🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Iv actually been searching up everywhere around the internet how to make ships and ship and pirate ships my own but I never had the exact pieces and I never knew how to put them together and I've been searching up for about 5 years now but you're welcome and I'm honored to be watching your videos and I'm happy to be subscribed to you
Amazing MOC! Not perhaps greatest ship that has sailed on the Caribbean but still it look very nice. Hopefully next videos will come quicker than this and previous. Also: Will next MOC/ship has something to do with Bluecoats? Caribbean Clipper?
I love your ship builds! They are amazing and with so much detail. I watched you Silent Mary series too. Maybe for your next PotC project you should do the Dauntless :)
Coming back to this from almost two years after I made my very own version of the full as a different ship by watching this video I really want his version because it takes so long for the LEGO shipments to come
What kind of cloth do you use for the sails ? Where do you get the cord, at a hobby shop? Thanks for any reply. Great build, you inspire me in my builds, and I learn by watching you build these wonderful ships!!
Great video👌🏻, if you could it would be easier if you told us where you got the pieces for your builds... so we can build it too! Like the string, sails and any unique pieces! Thanks for sharing this!!
Thank you:), I bought parts from bricklink.com only string and sails are customized. And I have the sails platform file, If you want you can leave your email through Instagram message.
how do you come with those kind of ideas? I mean you do freebuild? or you have it pre-made? Either way it's just incredible how you make your own sets!
Wow, your builds are truely amazing!! Love how you did the steering wheel to move the rudder, that's awesome! I've seen you reply to some people asking if you could build the Black Pearl, I can't wait for it! 😀😀
Since you've transformed the Silent Mary set to what she was like before the curse, and since you've beautifully recreated the Dying Gull in Lego form, then why not take the Lego Black Pearl and make it looks a lot closer to what it was in the film, and maybe later the Queen Anne's Revenge
The Black Pearl is on the plan:)
MOC YOUR BRICKs YES
MOC YOUR BRICKs I cannot wait to see it. If the Dying Gull and Silent Mary had turned out this good, I can only imagine how a ship like the Black Pearl will turn out!
Also, have you thought of putting your skills to the ultimate test by building the HMS Dauntless/Endeavor, the Interceptor, or even the Flying Dutchman?
Que chato
Why not the flying Dutchman as well
I still would like to see how you build the Flying Dutchman :D
You will see:)
MOC YOUR BRICKs Great :D
Are you Dutch??? The flying Dutch man is a KLM DC 3 right
Ton 222 I am German. The Flying Dutchman is my favorite ship. And I dont understand the rest of your sentence
Comfort Intable o yes I thought you mean a plane, the fiying Dutch men is a plane
I LOVE the side-by-side comparison with the 6271 Imperial Flagship at the end! :)
Am i the only person who found it nostalgic to see the older version of the lego hull pieces?
So glad to see someone make the Dying Gull. And since it was made by you, it's the best.
Haha, Thank you:)
A Black Pearl MOC would tune this channel up.
Hope so. It is my most favorite ship so I want it to be perfect.
I bet this old pirate ship never thought it could look this good haha
It is fantastic how you can make this mic using a small amount of pieces (though some are rare), this can’t be too expensive to build.
Even on smalls builds, your sense of details is truly amazing ! Keep up the great work !
Lovely ship. It can even be turned into a medieval cog with a few modifications.
Put this ship on lego ideas it's a great lego ship
And it would be able of being a real set because they don't have the dying gull set yet
AWM LEGO films maybe he can change the name and name it "the brigand sea"
I count agree more
Thats right. Haha
These builds are so satisfying to watch. I wish I woulds kept up with this hobby... Well i guess I gotta turn the attic into a place for it now!
Thank you:) you should haha
I don't know if you take suggestions but it'd be cool if you made the Flying Dutchman. Please! Your Mocs are amazing!
Yeah, very upset for only ship for POTC5
Its stupid the fact that lego is/was so lazy with the potc franchise. They couldve added this and could add the flying dutchman, and could redo the black pearl. I dont understand why lego is so lazy..
@@inviktus594 Ninjago killed POTC
I died by the look and awesomeness in the Lego ship

It's lego you don't have to get all philosophical about it.
Cool ship, idea number one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Крутой корабль, идея номер один !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you:)
I look forward to seeing the Endeavour, Dauntless or Interceptor.

I love the inclusion of the functioning rudder, was that inspired by one of the classic ships?
Yes it was. the functioning rudder was from the 6271 imperial flagship which also what the Hull pieces come from
I love your custom or "upgrade" builds =3
Thank you:)

It's called fabric
what for the sails no its paper painted.
