This is a crappy ipad in 2021. If you're planning to buy it, don't.
Alot of people can't afford newer models so they buy older ones it can still be used for everday tasks like social media and watching videos, TH-cam doesn't support ios 9 anymore so people can use safari, and using other apple ids from latest devices downloding it there and then sing that apple id in ipad mini 1, its still usable.
Cuz this is supposed to be a relaxing aesthetic video. Therefore, we need to force ourselves to celebrate inside XD

Why iPad mini 1, iPad mini 1 no longer gets updates and is stuck on iOS 9, at least get an ipad 5 from 2017 that still gets updates or else you’ll have a bad time with an old iPad like that as no updates means lack of security and hackers can easily infect those iPads so BE AWARE

as far as i know the ipad mini 1's last update was ios 12.5 something. so i think the unit she bought was only stucked at ios9.
regarding in security, i think it depends on the user already if they would gonna do something that could harm their device like going into suspicious sites nor downloading apps that can be prone into hackers or malware attacks.
if they are only gonna use it for note taking and basic needs (like schooling), then it's worth the price.

iPad mini 1, 2 and also 3 is not worth it to buy I suggest ipad mini 4 and 5 gen so you can update your system to iOS 14
I agree but I have an iPad mini 2 , i got it as a gift , it's the only thing available so I'm pretty thankful for it!
when it comes to specifications and os updates, ipad mini 1,2 and 3 is not worth buying. but if you are looking on a tablet that you will gonna use for online class and studying only, then ipad mini 1-3 is worth to buy. it's way more worth it than buying a quite expensive 8-9k budget android tablet that basically has an exact same feature and quality like ipad mini 1-3.
