Man this music takes me back. When I was younger I built a giant minecraft adventure map based on super meat boy and I listened to the ost while I built it sometimes. As for the actual speedrun I’ve never seen a minecraft tas before so this was really cool.

Cool run! Have you considered doing a pearl freeze at the ssg nether portal location (at like 1:45)? And instantly teleport to that spot when returning to the nether after killing the elder guardian (at 2:20). Might save enough time to make it sub 3
@@TechnesY Not really considered a glitch, it's been specifically approved by the mods for glitchless categories. It's also been a part of the 1.16 demo category route for a while. Using that you might be able to cut out the whole 2:20 - 2:35 section of the run, but you'd need an extra pearl before. Hard to say how exactly it would work out time wise.

Talking about timesave i guess there is one strat that should be considered: making the iron golem kill two endermen to get additional pearl, and using it to quickly get one more bed after looting second blacksmith. Then with the help of additional bed you could kill 4 endermen at once in the fortress (of course last hit must be done with looting sword to get 12 eyes). More pearls could be used in places such as the end, where all the way is on foot to save some time (also you dont need to make second enderman fight anymore because you have already enough pearls). The bad thing about this strat is that it involves grabbing some more gold from blacksmith and crafting golden apple to prevent dieing from pearl dmg. Its hard to tell how big timesave it is, but it should probably cut few seconds from run.

With the ender pearl throws, you may be able to go faster by starting to walk the moment before it hits the ground so you can keep your speed after the teleport. 3. 3:20 For the Ender Dragon and Wither, you may be able to take a chunk of health off the wither with the final bed explosion if you wait a small bit (not sure if this is worth it, depends on the amount of damage it does). I could be wrong about these, they’re just suggestions and these definitely won’t save 7 full seconds but these are a few adjustments that may shave off about 4 seconds tops.
ty! i do not really understand what you mean with the 1st one, but the second one is a yesn´t, the speed gets reset once you hit the ground by the damage you take, but you can actually have a little more speed, 3rd one definety does not work, withers hitbox is surrounded by bedrock and the bed does not inflict any damage

I was thinking that if you jump, you could potentially break the 2nd and 3rd soul sands in the air and start leaving the area while breaking the fourth soul sand. According to the length of time that you’re in the air for while jumping down a one block height, there should be just enough time to break two blocks of soul sand in the air. Basically, you jump into the hole while breaking the second and third blocks, then start walking out while breaking the fourth block instead of crouching and sliding in. Does that make a bit more sense? I say this because it looks like there are some unnecessary movements during and after the crouch that could be removed by jumping in.

I always thought TAS meant someone preprogrammed imputs. Optimizing things as fast as the software can go. I learned that wasn't the case on a hollow knight speedrun video, probably by mossbag. Perhaps that will happen some day.
Well TAS is Tool Assisted Speedrun. There are tools that can help the player by making the game go slower, being able to create savestates to re-do some parts of the run, etc. And then there is a TAS by inputs, usually takes much longer but is much more precise. This already exists and i think that it was the first form of TASing we had. Anyways if you want a much better explanation go check the videos in the bottom of the description :)

Nah it doesnt work because the perch time is just at the theoreticall time so you can't do the end faster.
