That was a nice and simple to follow tutorial, especially for anyone that is new to the hobby and who may be feeling daunted by the prospect of making terrain features! Well done, sir! Liked 'n' subbed 👌👍
@@Sahaak_Craft I just pull a comb (press semi hard) across a small block of foam( it's the pink and blue stuff foam). I I do this a few times to create different line patterns. then I cut it the thickness I want, then I cut the planks width
Is therte any advantage in foamboard over 3or 4mm MDF for basing? MDF is slightly more expensive but thats' no too much of an issue for me. I like the weight MD gives but would hate it to warp over time!I ve got a few work in progress projects
I mainly use foamboard as in my experience never warped over time. I agree that some more weight to the piece is nice on the table but you can achieve this gluing some iron washers or similar. Hope this helps! 😁
As you may have noticed English is not my main language, not even the second one. I'm just trying to make some good tutorials for people who's interested in crafting fantasy stuff and English is the way to reach more people. Sorry if it's difficult to understand me speaking, I do my best. Also I'm glad you liked the content anyways, thank you for that.
@@Sahaak_Craft Don't worry is not my main language neither, so it's a critic but a funny observation, i actually enjoy the accent. Continue with your badass videos!

First time here. Subbed.
Yeah thanks! Welcome to my channel :) going to check yours right now
If you play a lot of Warhammer add sand bags made out of modeling clay or green stuff and corrugated paper to look like sheet metal
Hey that's a great advice, could also work for Bolt Action and similar! In my case it's mainly for fantasy RPGs right now 😃
Looks great and there's no such thing as too much ruined terrain!
You're right mate! Thanks for your comment!
One tip- you can use wire brush on wooden planks to create wood teksture
Thank you, just the other day I recieved the same tip, I will definitely try the next time I have to make some wooden planks 😁
i cut foam and use a hard comb
@@frankhermansen243 Also interesting! You do it directly or you apply some heat to the foam before with a heatgun or hairdryier?

@@frankhermansen243 That's seems a really good way to do it, I'll keep it in mind for trying soon.
Thanks for sharing knowledge!

Very nice ruins. I only think the base s a little too high.
Thank you! Yeah I used foamboard but you can also use cardboard, mdf, or whaterver material that fit your needs 😁
How many mm is this foam?
It came in 40mm thick boards
