I'm very certain they kept the original logo intact when Orion came back in the 2010's because of nostalgia. In fact, resurrecting Orion was purely for nostalgia as people recognise the company from 80's cult classics like Robocop, which works well for Orion now since they only specialise in genre films (e.g. the Child's Play remake and the new Bill & Ted sequel, which were properties from the 80's). They won't be changing that logo any time because it's far more connected with films people grew up with, than the 1997 logo which was only used for two years.
And speaking of Orion, remember a few days ago, he did an episode about American International, Orion did acquired the AIP catalogue after Filmways folded in 1983. If you have not seen the AIP episode, go check it out.
Not exactly. Nelson Entertainment produced it and it was distributed by Orion Pictures Corporation. Of course Nelson fell into debt and was bounced around from New Line Cinema to Crédit Lyonnais Bank to PolyGram and finally to MGM where it was folded into Orion's back catalog.

No one has a problem with the 1979 logo being brought back. It captures its timeless nature.

And speaking of Orion, remember a few days ago, he did an episode about American International, Orion did acquired the AIP catalogue after Filmways folded in 1983. If you have not seen the AIP episode, go check it out.
I mean the Constellation logo is perfect and it’s my favorite logo it turns 45 years old
The Second logo is the best logo from the 80's and I hope there next logo is just as good.
First Orion went bankrupt and came back, and now Carolco went bankrupt and came back and then was never seen again in any movies!
Legal issues are the reason Carolco can't be revived. Brick Top Studios tried and ran into legal issues because Carolco is owned by StudioCanal.
Orion has a right to use the older logo because it's so old school, and sometimes we need a little old school
Plus, it's such an iconic intro.
Awesome!
Orion pictures is the company that made bill and ted.
Best orion film
Not exactly.
Nelson Entertainment produced it and it was distributed by Orion Pictures Corporation. Of course Nelson fell into debt and was bounced around from New Line Cinema to Crédit Lyonnais Bank to PolyGram and finally to MGM where it was folded into Orion's back catalog.
The 3rd and final Orion logo from 1997 is from both “Beach Party” and “Never Say Never Again”.
Will these exams take for like one month?

For Me Orion = RoboCop. Also anyone remember Family Guy's dig on Orion?
Silence Of The Lambs was also Orion.
Orion being in black and white would mean that they were plastering the American International Pictures logos.
