Loved this ep. The night atmosphere was really fresh and up my alley in terms of photographing the natural light and colours that come in bars and street settings. Diego is super cool. Always love being introduced to new photogs through these eps man. Eternally grateful

thank you for this! i always get intimidated by night photography (without a tripod) thinking i have to always use flash. i never tried shooting below 1/50 handheld. will try this now. diego is a cool artist! love how the pic of the girl with the frames turned out as well as the other bar pics like the man looking at his reflection

Lucy’s bar, one of my favorite spots.
Really love the boldness of Diego's approach. I always get afraid of the images looking like crap when the shutter is below 30 seconds and I gotta take out the flash. But some of the things Diego says makes me reconsider the approach. Seeing this makes me miss photographing NY night life. It's like something out of Sin City and is a huge contrast to the hussle and bussle of NY in daytime.
I was just on your channel thinking "damn, sure could use a Paulie upload one of these days. Another walkie would be sick" and here it is, less than half an hour later lol - These give me so much life, man. Such a sick contribution to the space that isn't a zine (dope zine btw) or a book (looking forward to that, too).

Crazy timing. My old lady was just telling me she can link me up with two of her friends that go to this local bar all the time and know everyone. The plan was to get familiar with people and let them get familiar with me and shoot there as often as possible.

Love the photos, it's very unusual to do street photos at night. But please don't give out a fake Instagram it gives us street photographers a bad reputation and perhaps those guys wouldn't agree to be photographed next time.
