    Can you still use stats and figures you know (not from the extract) as your application e.g. I still remember loads that I memorised for paper 1/2

    • @roadkill1172
      @roadkill1172 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      Yeah you can, it still counts as application. But it's best to use your own application alongside evidence from the extract, since the 25 marker you get will likely directly correlate with the extract. If the extract is about Indonesian farmers, you should use the extract, but you can compare schemes that might've been used in Rwanda for example as long as it's suitable.

    Do you have to do 2 micro and 2 macro points and then an evaluation para for each one (4) cause I just don’t have time to write that many. Is it compulsory, will I limit my marks

    • @msdd7610
      @msdd7610 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      it’s one macro paragraph; then evaluate and then a micro paragraph and evaluate (the order doesn’t matter you can do micro then macro or vice versa) Just make sure you specify if you’re writing a micro or macro paragraph
      and don’t forget the judgement (conclusion) at the end
      So 5 paragraphs: macro-evaluate; micro-evaluate and then a judgement
      You can have an intro defining key terms too

    Does the number of micro/macro points have to be balanced e.g. if I’m doing 3 points then I have to do 2 of macro/micro and 1 of the other, is that fine?

    • @roadkill1172
      @roadkill1172 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      As long as there is at least one micro and one macro paragraph, anything extra can be anything. I.e. you could have 3 micro points, and one macro, but time constraints make that unlikely. 2 micro and one macro is completely fine.

    Do AQA Paper 3 25 marker structure follow the same structure?

  • @bohoneykempeneer8149

    can I do the evaluation within my macro/micro point so essentially I would write 2 micro effects with evaluation within the paragraph, and then 1 micro with evaluation in it?

    • @roadkill1172
      @roadkill1172 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I think you missed out saying "macro" somewhere. Avoid evaluating within your paragraphs - that'll be a nightmare for examiners, and can very easily be interpreted as something that is part of your KAA paragraph.

    GUYS WHAT DOES MICRO AND MACRO FACTORS MEAN?? i see it in past questions and dont understand wth to talk about

    • @taniani884
      @taniani884 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Micro is factors from firms/individuals, like confidence, barriers to entry, wages etc
      Macro is factors from the economy, like inflation, spare capacity, imports/exports, etc

      also does that mean you can evaluate a macro point with micro stuff ?
      e.g. evaluating with loss of consumer surplus and loss of competition (micro) on a point talking about imports being expensive for firms due to spiced (macro)

    • @roadkill1172
      @roadkill1172 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@arabella2265 SPICED is strong pound, imports cheap, exports dear. So imports would not be expensive for firms. And to answer your question, yes you can evaluate a macro concept with micro concepts - a lot of theme 1 is fundamental economics, so it's hard not to make reference to things like PED.
