It takes them at least 2 hours each to get makeup and prosthetics. Another 15 minutes to half hour to get on their costumes. Then several hours for filming.
With this Geoff started getting his makeup at 8am. He finished just before 10am.
By the time everyone was dressed and filming was done it was 7pm.
Then Eli had to stay behind to do the skit at the end.
May 7th they rehearsed. May 8th they filmed.
Geoff Castellucci released his new video Friday., the 12th.... Big Iron.
    It is absolutely amazing.

This awesomeness came from Layne's brain. I love the creativity, and this is a callback to Hall of the Mountain King. Rachel Is amazing, and she did amazing in this.

This is a follow up to last year's In The Hall of the Mountain King. No one does it like VoicePlay. :) Great reaction. All the tunes are listed in the credits. Prosthetics. :) Layne did an interview with The Charismatic Voice explaining how he arranged this. It's just incredible.

This gets beter each time I see it. Rachel is usually so happy and bubbly in their videis, but in this one she is not to be messed with. Awesome job

I think the word you were looking for is prosthetics. (Probably not a word you use very often). It took at least 2 hours in makeup for each of them, with another 30 minutes afterwards to remove the prosthetics. (Last time Cesar’s ear kept trying to fall off, so they used extra glue this time)
Did you notice that toward the end there was some chanting behind the singing? And a little from Eli in the outro? Layne took inspiration from the talking trees in Disney’s Tiki Room so it sounds vaguely Hawaiian, but he made up the words.

This was so much fun! This time, Layne and Tony had dragged all those trees into the studio for another of Pattycakes 'Villains Lair' productions, but one of the cast for that was ill, so they had to keep the set for a bit longer - so decided to make use of it for this! There are rumours that they will do a third one...eventually! 😂

Your pronunciation of "chaos" was absolutely spot-on!
I have little or no shame in admitting that, while I probably couldn't have named more than 2 of the songs in this medley, I recognized all of them - largely thanks to a childhood spent watching way too many Looney Toons cartoons!

This took Two days. One for rehearsal and choreography. Day two was getting into costumes, prosthetics and filming. The BTS video was so fun to watch their shinanagins.

I speak Spanish and do the opposite. If I can't figure out a word in English I sound it out in Spanish to figure it out. I do it with spelling the most. I love this piece! Rachel gets so frustrated with the boys! I love the faces they make to tell the story.

I am an English speaker and do the same. When I took Spanish I was amazed that almost every letter only had one sound. I could instantaneously pronounce every word. It was an epiphany.
When I took my SATs the vocabulary portion had words I did not recognize even though I’m a huge reader. But by trying to convert it to Spanish I was able to identify 8 to 10 extra words just because of it. I did not know the word lugubrious but I knew lugubre meant gloomy!

  • @ilonadever8249

You pronounced Chaos correctly. The word you were looking for is prosthetics. Two hours to turn Geoff into whatever that was. This is the first time that Rachel was deliberately made to look not so beautiful.
I recognized all of the music but could only name about four or five of them. I can only imagine what Layne's brain looks like.
Oh, and Geoff released his newest last Friday, just so ya now.

Watch the interview that Elizabeth Zharoff (The Charismatic Voice) did with Layne about how this was made. 124 music and sound tracks. Layne is a genius with this type of stuff.

All the character were stealing the magical spell book from Rachel. Cesars bass is what he stolo from Geoff but done by Layne & the voice he stole from Rachel was actually her voice. She was hiding the last page of the book at the end.
