They played strong on the puck for most of the game but at the 3rd period they started this frustrating bad habit of passing on shots for a pass which lead to miss opportunities which could have extended the lead. Specially it creeped into 1st power play unit. Pasta might be playing a little too much when he starts to make those mental mistakes. It’s how it feels to me
That behavior is what they default to when tired. We saw that so much earlier this year. I've loved how tenacious they've been of late and just hope they avoid those tendencies as much as possible. I think smashing Buffalo at home will help put more gas in the tank too.
They played great last night. Especially that first period. I felt like I was looking at a different team. I thought the Oils would come out and immediately dominate. As the game went on, the overall fatigue of the trip hit them and things got more reactive. To me, despite the OT, what really did it was that bad change to tie it up. That was poor judgement. No matter how tired you are, when the best player in the world is on the ice and you are approaching your own zone you don't go off! That aside, valiant effort. This is the kind of fight that will bode well in the POs. They just need to work on the conditioning and decision making that it will require to hang in for 3 periods against the best teams.
@@zachhaist6426 yes that's def the root of it but I still want them to be more disciplined about change ups and generally have more of a killer instinct.
88 just flat out not shooting sometimes…it doesn’t make any sense MANY things to say about reasons why they aren’t playing up to snuff…this was a good effort to end and hopefully it carries over thanks for another BRU love it and we all love the Bruins 🙏🏻
Swayman play is not good . That first goal was bad , the 2nd he wasn't square, paddle wasn't down and he looks lost at times in the net . Worst goalie in the league of all starters. Needs to get his shit together. Hasn't won a game yet and had let in way too many soft ones .
Kas-tel-ic; the official NHL pronunciation guide says so. The net is not a "cage". Sports teams are not "squads". Peoples noses are not "beaks". Road trips are not "swings". I could go on and on but just use the normal words to commentate and describe the game.
