Is it possible Kyler will look to pursue his MLB career? NFL while young then turn to baseball to maximize his professional sports career longevity?
He should at least try
I mean. He would have to practice baseball more to not loose the skill
I'd day he plays out his extension and makes all those millions, then goes into baseball being already set for life.
I don’t see anybody pulling a Coach Prime nowadays.
There’s no way he can just go play pro ball after not practicing in years
Love your video, Mike, and keep up the great work
3 things
1. This isn't the first, nor the last time baseless nonsense is talked about Murray or the Cardinals
2. The disrespect on Murray isn't warranted. Until last year, he had a solid increase in production with a decreasing roster...
3. The Cardinals have made some bad choices, but Murray wasn't one of those. Extending his contract was. Every player gets worse after signing a new deal, so I am assuming we will see him play moderatly well this next year depending on the new offensive schemes.
There are a lot of QBs that get screwed by circumstances they have very little to no control over. Rosen didn't get a chance as a rookie with no line, no receivers, and no coach, but he should have kept his mouth shut and worked harder, and maybe he wouldn't be where he is. Maybe he should not have bragged about how great he was. That usually bites in the end. Unless Murray has a horrible year, he isn't going anywhere, but the Cards seem to be able to do strange things. Lots of NFL teams are like this, which is why I also think Houston will be down at the bottom again.
Nah Josh Rosen came in the league when the game changed. If your arm can’t make up for your legs your legs then your over with. He went to Miami and sucked it up.
It's not Kyler's height, it's not Kyler playing video games, it was'nt Kliff Klingsbury being his coach, it's Kyler Murray's attitude, it's his over inflation of self and before last season they did'nt put enough around him then he got hurt. If he can get his mind right, humble himself and accept and respect coaching then the Cardinals can be a really good team.
People need to stop making excuses that teams don't put enough around QB when the problem is the QB .. Murray should have never got paid that kind of money, he never earned it.. they had Hopkins ..
When a QB can't see over the behemoths in front of him, it is about size.
Mr. Brady is 6'-5", so are the Mannings, Nick Foles is 6'-6", Mahomes is 6'-2", Matthew Stafford is 6'-3".
Kyler is listed st 5'-9" but is probably only 5'-8", Russell Wilson is an exaggerated 5'-11, and is the shortest superbowl winning quarterback. Kyler was just a bad pick.
@@andynaz5631 , absolutely.. Kyler is about the quick pay day it seems ... the NFL needs to change how these contracts are done .. I understand teams do screw over players , and I support actions against that , but these massive contracts needs to have a way out for players like Murray who was paid to do a job, and was more concerned about playing video games than the job he was paid to do .. the Cardinals were idiots for giving him the contract.. there should be protections in place for players and the team .. Murray won't be in a hurry to recover I think
Drew Brees didn’t exist ig
💯%
Rosen never was given a fair chance. That's the game sometime.
That’s why you don’t pay a player to the rookie contract is over and evaluate what kind of player you have in your hands
Nah that's fine, it's the fact that they paid kyler Murray early. Huge mistake only because of the specific guy they made an exception for.
You have no idea what your talking abt this is a QB not a Corner or a tackle this is a franchise QB there’s a reason a minority of teams with an elite QB pay him two years before the rookie contract is up and it’s to keep good faith, the cardinals messed up by adding the study clause, for some reason Cliff and Kyelr didn’t mesh the last year together but that’s again the cardinals fault for not holding him accountable, they’re a franchise QB but at the end of the day they’re still young adults maturing and growing
@@Falcon_2510 You have no idea what punctuation or proper English is. Stay in school
I remember when the drama was about Lamar 😂
😂😂😂😂
Yep, the qb Arizona passed on to draft the WORST qb in the first round of that draft (Josh Rosen), but honestly at this point it’s not crazy to say that Arizona should’ve stuck with Rosen for another year given how Murray turned out, or that maybe they should’ve drafted Daniel Jones or Minshew instead🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
I stil can't believe Lamar got paid what he did. Ravens have lost their damn mind paying that much to a man who can't stay healthy and whose main skill is rushing. Lamar deserves half of what he got, maybe 2/3, maybe
@@self-righteousideologue9398 Yep, I feel like he wanted a deal that matched what the Browns gave Deshaun Watson because that’s what some athletes do, no matter what when they see another player of similar caliber get paid a massive contract, they want something similar, and as long as qbs are greedy and want ALL the money, they can forget about their team getting some rings, I mean look what happened in Green Bay
Love your work
Gonna be honest. If I'm a coach, gm, or owner and a player refuses to watch film I would tell them to get out. You don't wanna put in the work then you don't play.
Dolphins fan here. I feel bad for Rosen.. he didn’t get taught by a top QB and he was clearly a guy who needed it to develop (very common!). Not everyone can get thrown into the trenches and survive.
Why that’s stupid?? You realize he’s had like 5 chances from different teams?? He’s not good so cardinals definitely got out early.
My fellow dolphin fan, maybe next year we will run the playoffs
Kyler Murray didn't either and he balled out (the first 3 years, at least.)
The Cardinals sure as hell regretting giving kyler his money
Josh Rosen and his case I say is one where the organization didn’t even bother to give him a fair chance. He didn’t have a oline or many weapons let alone someone who could bring out his best, now his confidence is legit shot.
and the dolphins didn’t do him any favors either. He had a terrible team and a terrible coach there as well
@@nickgavis0305 as a dolphins fan, we still have bad coaching staff. are main pros are the players

@@kolbesmith1175 yeah I think so too, maybe next season we could try to do better
In case no one looked at the Murray contract…his dead cap hit in 2024 is insanely huge both pre-June and lost-June trades/cuts. So, if the Cards really want to draft Caleb Williams, they most likely need to have both on the roster for the year…and then trade Kyler for whatever is salvageable. As a Cards fan, I think we should just focus on rebuilding and load up this team with talent…Kyler can perform just have a well built team, a good coach, and a non Clown show FO.
This is why some teams will NEVER win a Super Bowl, no matter how close they get; they make a high profile pick that has no heart and is lazy, which is a lose lose situation for everyone.
I honestly think Gannon was brought in to ride out Kyler's contract years. That said, we now live in a world where the Cardinals have a good chance of owning the top two picks in the 2024 draft or at the very least two top ten picks. If they're drafting 1st do they pass on Caleb Williams? If they have two top 10 picks do they trade those for the number 1 pick? They paid Kyler one year too soon.
Houston is too good of a team to be in the top 10
@@incendiumaquila7605they probably would get Harrison First then Williams and If they can’t get Williams get Penix

Just imagine the draft capital the Cards could get trading out of the 2024 #1 pick.
This dude is done!! Thanks to the genius moves of Arizona drafting Rosen and Murray in back to back drafts!! Bravo to them!!
Murray is a great QB, the disrespect on his name has gone too far.
People act like the Cardinals are a good organization, they're a dumpster fire and the only reason they have any wins is because Kyler backpacking them.

Say what.....? I can't see the Cards even considering trading Kyler Murray.
The worst thing the Arizona Cardinals did. Was pay this man child all that money. He doesn’t care. He’s not a leader. He doesn’t even study film that much. I think what they were trying to do is expose him to get him to become better. Well, let’s hope that method actually pays off. Most likely it’s not. You can’t want something so badly for somebody if they don’t want it for themselves.
The Cards want Caleb the writing is there for that, new GM, new Head Coach, I think they trade him in the next offseason. Only if they have the 1st overall pick or 2nd overall picks. I heard some noise, when the NFL Draft was on going, the cards had a deal to send Kyler to the Falcons, but both teams could not agree on the salary part on who would take most of it. So curious to see how this plays out in the future for Kyler.
Wrong very bad report, dhop stayed for kyler, traded for brown last year for kyler, drafted kylers #1 want in the draft with the 6th pick, building for next year when he is healthy if you don’t know much bout our cards team don’t talk about them
@andrewlehigh4918 exactly. They brought in and got Kyler everything he asked for. So this should be lights out when he returns then right? If Kyler gets reinjured or drops the ball again, it's very likely they ship him out and try to get that #1 pick to get Caleb.
@@Rizzmeister69 what I heard from a source that put it out there. My opinion and reading the tea leaves. If the cards get the 1st overall pick in next’s draft, Murray is done in Arizona.
@@BabyDahl28 doesn’t matter, who said they made the Paris pick bc of him? People are saying that, he could of been on their boards. Letting you know don’t be shocked if he is traded if they get the 1st overall pick. New HC and New GM normally want their own QB.
@@BabyDahl28 plus they have two firsts round picks in 2024, by reading that. The Cards will be so bad they should have a pretty good shot to get 1st overall pick with their pick.
Kyler saw the writing on the wall with watching his Buddy, Baker Mayfield gamble and get hurt, and having a bad year statistically and no contract for Baker plus getting replaced by Watson, with Watson being available for a trade!
The trade rumors are just that: rumors. No one really knows what will happen. I can't imagine there's much of a trade market for Kyler Murray at present, since he is still recovering from that ACL injury and rehabbing. Arizona taking a QB in the 5th round is more than likely for depth and not someone to take Kyler's job. (Similar to the Patriots signing Louisville QB Malik Cunningham as an undrafted free agent. Some people called him "Mac Jones's replacement", but I don't see it happening.) Regarding Josh Rosen, he may have a point about not getting a chance. He was in Arizona for one season before being traded to the Dolphins. The next season he was in Miami during their "tank for Tua" season. By the way Mike, what do you think of the huge extension KC is giving Mahomes.
I still think the Colts would be a good destination for Kyler. Colts need a proven QB and have the capital to make that trade.
I will never get over that Xfl background 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
God bless you Mike
How many times in a video do you put your feeds up on the screen 😂 only channel I watch that does it
Everyone needs to stop saying the cardinals are gonna go for a qb in the next draft.... first Jonathan Gannon loves Kyler especially when he said its not every day that you get to become a head coach and get a franchise QBs... two the cardinals would have a huge cap hit if we were to trade or release him... three everyone wants to talk shit about kyler when hes better than half the teams in a league... do you think daniel jones is the reason they went to the playoffs when hes never thrown for more than 17 tds in a season.
Life-long Cardinals fan, cant wait until he is gone.
If the Cardinals end up with the top 2 picks (really unlikely) i think you have to consider drafting Caleb Williams, but only in that case. Even if you dont move Kyler in 2024, you can hold onto him and then move on from him in 2025 where the cap hit is higher, but drops from 81m to 40m, could be something they consider, but only in that one situation.
I think it's more likely than you think. Arizona and Houston are going to absolutely stink this year.
I dont think kyler has what it takes to be a consistent QB. He has had 5 years to improve his offseason and onfeild habbits
AlexrollinsNfL has some great video analysis of Kylers gameplay. He goes over the strenghts and weakness but the overall takeaway is his play is inconsistent.
I understand the cap issues with moving off of kyler but i think if the cardinals ened up with the worst record in the league they have to draft caleb williams. I think the majority of teams would rather be in cap hell for a year but potentially have their franchise qb on the roster.
Besides its not like the cardinals would wxpect to win a superbowl in calebs rookie year.
If the cardinals dont have the worst record and kyler does show improvement in decision making and habbits than i would consider keeping him
If Kyler Murray blows out early in the NFL he can try and go back to Baseball
Not try,MLB would get him as soon as possible.Kyler ain’t sweating this .Kid has generational wealth already.
I never wanted him anyway. I barked that we'd be better off signing Baker Mayfield and built around him and if he failed we would have a great team that would draw in a proven veteran QB. Only Arizona 😢
Of course you would rather have a white QB

He didn't need a blind side protector, he has 2 on the roster, DJ Humphries and Josh Jones. We needed a center and an interior offensive line

What a shame, the last time the Cards were really relevant was when they were playing on Chicago's Southside, they are one of the leagues 4 or 5 oldest teams, Bears Packers Giants. Next were the Lions Eagles and Washington franchise along with the Rams who played in Cleveland prior to the AAFC which consisted of teams like the San Francisco 49ers Brooklyn Football Dodgers and of course the Browns. What can this franchise do to become relevant ?

😂
When I heard he unfollowed the Cardinals prior to his contract signing, I was disgusted. This showed how he really is. Let the DIVA pack his bags & hit the road. It's obvious he doesn't appreciate anything. You'd think he would because he's so short. Not a large market for entitled tiny short QBs that his team mates don't even like. @ 4:47 what an idiot! He's part of that egregious contract. Why are passing yards more important than "percent complete" or the QB's overall rate? And, why doesn't Murray throw down the middle of the field. Okay, enough of the short jokes. And now, Dobbs has entered the picture whose been overlooked for years!
Beginning clip said it best. He’s more valuable to the cardinals than any other team out there
So what I get from this is that I should bet against the Cards every week cause they want the number 1 pick

I hear he's reading the playbooks at a 4th grade level! 🤣😂
Idk where all this notion that kyler Murray cant play is coming from he is top 10 or 12
Now that Kliff is gone, everyone will se that Kyler is a very acerage QB. He cannot see over the line and every defense covers the edges of the field. Once the Rams figured this out Kyler became a non factor. Kyler cannot stay healthy. If you're going to keep Kyler, you'll need a good back-up.
Teams keep drafting 5'10" mini QB's, hoping they're the answer. Just duuumbfounded!
Saying a grown man has a massive "hard on" for another grown man is wild smh 🤦🏿♂️
I think it was a mistake to pay that guy so much money for doing absolutely nothing. They should have just ruled the dice on a traditional quarterback. The athletic quarterback is usually a one and doneer in the super bowl. The last six or seven quarterbacks that have won more than one we're not athletic quarterbacks. My homes is like the exception and even at that he wasn't to mobile on their last super bowl
Not everyone is brock purdy
Just like RG3 who went from Baylor to end up at Washington. These young stars are just put in the fire and without the sitting behind top QB's. Jordan Love is not ruined as he will eclipse this fate and well keep himself healthy, strong and wise. Go Packers! 😊
Cardinals will do decent this year if not great. Next year is when they will explode 💪Too much to figure out this year, but they have a good roster
Bruh that boop boop boop was me hard
With Gannon now as the head coach anything is possible. I personally expected the Cardinals to take at least three steps back and plummet with Gannon in charge. HE could easily trade away ALL of their current talent, but once fired the Cards could wind up with a ton of draft picks. But for the team not to waste those picks , the cards would have to fire Gannon at the end of the season(doubtful).
Gannons the coach not the GM

Cardinal's your new Antonio Brown content now eh
Its crazy how the comments are sympothetic to Josh Rosen yet Kyler is going through the same shit and its the exact oppitite for him.
No way, the dude from faze clan is in the nfl!? 😅
His career with the cardinals is at the best place that it has been since he was drafted. The new staff have backed him up every chance, Gannon speaks glowingly about him, they drafted HIS guy.
Any rumours that are out there right now is smoke in the mirrors, Kyler doesn't deserve this. Really poor timing for this video in my opinion.
I love your content, this isn't really intended toward you Mike, but these comments are not it.
There is a difference between "words" & "actions"... "theory & "reality"
They literally put a "do your homework" clause in his contract because he is an adult-child... all of the shit you said is rhetoric. The most important step to fixing a problem... acknowledging that a problem exists in the first place. Murray is a narcissist and a sociopath... if you think he has the self awareness to know there is a problem... that's you.
@@anniehopkins8470 how in the hell do you come to this conclusion? There is a difference between wanting to win and being a diva for everybody except Kyler apparently.
Steve Keim who made millions of mistakes admitted the clause was one of his biggest, that doesn't get any attention though cause everybody just wants Kyler to look bad 🤷
@@anniehopkins8470 how can you label someone you have no relations to a “narcissist and sociopath” that’s farfetched even for his negative image in media. Unless you know Kyler personally, your opinion is no different than an asshole.

I would say this is his make or break year. He's not going to have Hopkins after this year. Doesnt have to win 10 games, but needs to play well
With all these latest qb contracts Kylers next move is to probably ask for a raise
Kingsbury got himself fired 🤣
He should hang tight till Rogers leaves the Jets and then move in and have a great team to play for!
Go Geno! Go Hawks!!
Mike chill out on the lakers 😭
How can you say Rosen is a bust when he’s hardly played? Look at how many years it took Alex smith to be good. Other QBs were just as bad as him his first year or two. The problem is the nfl gives up on QBs too soon.
They make so much money they have no choice.
Rosen was definitely a bust no question. He has been given a chance on 4 or 5 teams at this point and wasn't even good enough to be kept around as the 2nd or 3rd string QB. If he actually showed any promise at all he would be on a team.
Kyler does too much sometimes. I remember watching some games and thinking, “man this guy has talent, but makes poor decisions and leans too much on his athletic abilities to dig himself out”. That leads to turnovers and him taking unnecessary hits which he lost game time last season.
If the cards get a bad record like they did this year....They will trade Kyler and try to get a 1st but will prob settle for a 2nd and 3rd
