Lisa is actually a great teacher if you really think about it. If she wasn't as straightforward, the girls would slack off. Lisa did not yell at them, nor did she insult them. She gave a compliment first, before giving advice which is what I believe every teacher should do, even if it may seem scary. I would've broke down too, but I wouldn't break down because lisa hurted my feelings, it would be because I felt that I should've tried harder.

The mentors are only here to ‘guide’ them but at the end of the day their improvement is still up to them. If you are willing & determined then you’ll achieve your goal. Few examples are Lu Keran, she wasn’t as good as this at the beggining but look she made a break through bc she’s hardworking af. Xiaozhai & Joey Chua too. They’ve improved their singing. Yu Shuxin whom i disliked at the beginning proved me wrong. She keeps improving and improving. Shows how strong willed this woman is and i salute her for that

I got criticized a lot by people especially my dad in doing my hobbies or studying, they all said exactly what Lisa said, that the final thing might not be good if you don’t work harder and that they’re not doing it for them it’s for me and then I would start crying cuz of the guilt and cuz I really am trying my best and I honestly hate it when they say don’t cry but I’m still thankful, I know how it feels to be responsible for people. Lisa is praising her too,what lisa did was right and she's straightforward. She loved her trainees and she will support them. Flora is beautifully amazing but sometimes there's small mistake you shouldn't get and for the coming show. Lisa said, "how many days are left before the show" so lisa is worried about them.

Which she shouldn't have done. You don't make excuses when your group's performance is that bad. Did you think the other trainees in the other groups have it easy? Xiaotang and Aria Jin were having difficulties keeping up with their dancing and singing but they practiced a lot to keep up. Lisa just pointed out the obvious.
I love how lisa mixes being strict and sweet because when the trainees mess up she tells them and makes sure that they improve and if they do good she will make them feel very accomplished this is why i love lisa❤️❤️❤️
I see comments with people say Lisa is just a strict mentor, but for me she isn't strict at all, she is very sweet and give good feedback. You can clear see how she reacts when Flora start cry, she didn't continue do give feedback, no she stop there respect her space and say that she doesn't need to cry more. Honest if it was other mentor ( not in this show ), like for example Tao, they will not stop talk even if they are crying. This on of the reasons I admire all mentors especial Kun, Lisa and Ella, they all always give feedback in the most honest , direct away, If you feel this 3 are been stricken or rude, I am sorry but I think you are not ready to say in society, or even having a job. Lisa is strict but still very compassionate on delivering what she wants to say not to mention the language barrier. Crying really does help to release some burden inside but at some point crying won't help to improve the dance but hard work. It will not change the fact.

This is not that strict, she was just pointing out that they need to do better, in the most possible polite way. I can see she was so careful didn’t want to say things too harsh. She’s their dance mentor she can’t just say nice things all the time that would be very irresponsible.

The mentors are only here to ‘guide’ them but at the end of the day their improvement is still up to them. If you are willing & determined then you’ll achieve your goal. Few examples are Lu Keran, she wasn’t as good as this at the beggining but look she made a break through bc she’s hardworking af. Xiaozhai & Joey Chua too. They’ve improved their singing. Yu Shuxin whom i disliked at the beginning proved me wrong. She keeps improving and improving. Shows how strong willed this woman is and i salute her for that

I got criticized a lot by people especially my dad in doing my hobbies or studying, they all said exactly what Lisa said, that the final thing might not be good if you don’t work harder and that they’re not doing it for them it’s for me and then I would start crying cuz of the guilt and cuz I really am trying my best and I honestly hate it when they say don’t cry but I’m still thankful, I know how it feels to be responsible for people. In my opinion, the worst thing to say to people when they’re crying is don’t cry cuz they’re already guilty and they just got scolded and now the person who scolded them just changed their level of comfort but I still love Lisa and I get why she’s strict.
