Amazing, captures the energy and heart of Chick's original suite much to my amazement. These guys really get the Spanish Heart! Vamos!!!

Most of it is a 3/4 latin groove. Some of the horn fills near the end are in 4/4. And at the end there is this difficult piano phrase which starts in 3/4, then has a bar of 5/8 to shift the feel around which is the oddest thing in this whole piece and then goes into 4/4. It's that phrase which Chick also plays in Spanish Fantasy Pt 1. If you listen to the live version on Return to forever Live, they are really rushing through that section and everybody seems to be struggling to keep up with the tempo there (I think Chick actually misses a few notes there in that phrase).
The piece is mostly based around a D7b9 | EbM7 chord sequence. Not that difficult to play actually (apart from that end phrase) but very difficult to get right and tight in both timing and feel with an ensemble. The horn ensemble Chick used with RTF was amazing and played all of that music incredibly tight and powerful. The solo's are also not the easiest as it's a very distinct scale/sound which might easily result in predictive and cliché phrasing.
