Katrina was recording her song on an iPhone or on garage band software on a laptop and singing on a headset. In contrast, Morissette sang it on the Wishbus with a 360 diaphragm pick-up condenser microphone and a sound technician at the back monitoring the balance of the backing track & her voice balance on another track. This is not taking anything from Mori as I am a fan of Mori too. They are my best new rising artists so, I do not go for comparing these 2 great singers as both of them have their own strong points and talents.
Instead of pitting them against each other in this particular song why not just let them (hurricane Katrina and the fiery phoenix) collab on a duet and let's see if any pair in the world can topple them
