I want to know how to remove the bar that allows you to slide the selection from private to normal. I do not like the bar there, I like the bar that requires you to select the tab between “done” and the “+” at the bottom of the screen. No point in having both. The slide bar showed up with the last iPhone update
@TrevorNace Any suggestions how to disable it on an old iMac computer? Also, any idea how to download a driver so I can finish installing Windows 10 on my iMac?
Unfortunately, there's no direct way to disable private browsing in Safari on older iMac models. I would check to see if Bootcamp Assistant is compatible with your iMac model.
The first options you mention didn't work because mine open the whole tab window. 2nd option you show work! Its was so annoying can't turn it off. Thank You!
Thank you very much, this is very helpful. Before that, when I entered a website address, like my email address. I was always asked to re-enter my password every time, now I don't have to🙂👍
@@TrevorNace I think that person is referring to wanting the private browsing completely off safari… you can remove the private browsing tab without having to delete Safari.
Did this work for you?
Yes? 😁 Give me a shoutout in the comments!
No? 😥 Leave a comment with your issue and we'll figure it out together.

Your title should have specified that you're showing for iPhone only---I need to know how on mac.

This is not helpful… i want it completely off of my phone
Do you want to delete Safari off of your iPhone? Safari is a permanent app and cannot be deleted from your iPhone.
