Great depth of presentation, wonderful instrument, thank you.
When I see her with her viola da gamba, as a perfect unit, as if it were the soul vibrating in the strings, I wonder how it is possible that even today so much beauty can be contemplated as something current... 🙏🏻
Traumhaftes altes Instrument! ❤ Läßt uns die Geschichte spüren.
Bravo bravo!!
Amo la viola da gamba più di tutti gli archi massi insieme...♥️
Absolument magnifique !
Beautifully played Ms Rose...indeed a beautiful aesthetic all round. Thank you and a Happy New Year from England.❤
The great Bach! ❤
In my opinion, number one.
Bravo! Excellent performance!!! 👍🏻🙏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hermoso Johanna!... Conmovedor. 👏👏👏
Beautiful 🤩
Amazing!!
Exquisita delicadeza. Brava, Liebe Johanna.
Beautiful! This is one of my favorite pieces by JS Bach!
Question for the experts: Is the reverb added on, or is it natural? It seems a bit too explosive for the setting...
I am not an expert, but I believe that it could be both the room and the instrument.
Since this viola da gamba has 7 strings, it can resonate more. For example, if you play a high A on the instrument, the other strings would vibrate due to the harmonic structure of that frequency.
I am not sure this answers your question, but I hope that it was able to give you a better insight as to why you hear the reverb.
@@cellothere5050 - this viol has 6 strings.
This is exactly how Johanna sounds live, in concert. The room is resonant, but her vibrant tone gently pierces all the way to the heart.
This makes me want to learn to play. I wish these instruments were more widely available. I tried to borrow one from a group years ago, but it fell through.
You played beautifully. The reverb comment below is snark and rubbish. Anyone who plays an instrument appreciates what you have accomplished. Well done!
