This is the best information video I have seen on Tasmania. When we moved here we lived 2 hours south of Hobart then moved to Staverton (near Sheffield) and finally settled here just outside of Devonport near Forth.
Great video Marie and Robert, thank you so much!
Well done video. I had the joy of spending a week on Tasmania in 2009. Loved it! Would love to go back someday. I believe 2/3 of the island is a World Heritage Site, quite unique plant and animal life. Loved Cradle Mountain area..
Lots of information in a well-made documentary that gives a great taste of Tasmania. It makes me want to know more about this fascinating place. Thank you for the upload. LL
Great video. Very professionally produced. I hope you enjoyed your stay.
What a picturesque island!
Watching this makes me want to visit Tasmania. Very well done.
Such a beautiful state
Tasmania will for ever be in my heart as I had the most special time there . I seen things I could never see anywhere in the world . Launceston is a beautiful place ..East coast of Tasmania , from north to south is way to go . Best time to see Tasmania is in winter ..
I love this film. The quality of the video and photography is stunning. I feel transported. Visiting Tasmania was not on my radar before---now it is.
excellent video. well done and thank you
I enjoyed that.. and I live there. I hope you enjoyed your stay and thanks for sharing it.
Outstanding video. Voiceovers are superb. Really like the section on Bruny Island (Inala) and Port Arthur. Kurrajong House looks like the place to stay in Launceston.
Wonderful very informative video.Thanks!!!
I find this to be relaxing, as with each tick my life comes closer to an end. I don't understand why that's such a comforting concept
Watching this in Hong Kong. Getting ready to visit Hobart in two weeks. Very well done. Love the informed commentary.
This is really informative. Congratulations on a well presented short doco / tourism advertisement.
This is beautiful and informative. Thank you for creating and posting this video.
Very nice indeed! Well done.
I live in Tassie, and this was riveting!
In 2 weeks I’m going to Tasmania! IM SUPER EXCITED!
brilliant. i love seeing people coming and enjoying Tassie :)
Terrific video. A great showcase of Bruny Island. As an owner of Hotel Bruny we are open 7 days for lunch and dinner, bookings aren't essential like other guys on the island. Pleased you had an outstanding Tasmanian Visit.
I would love to go there when I'm older.
Nice one - a quirky add would be Elephant Pass (pancakes!) between Douglas River & Fingal - the beaches on the East Coast are quite delicious, so much white sand and azure seas. Be interested to see your next video, as we live near Port Sorell, which is just such a great area with beautiful farmland and lovely beaches - I think you captured the great dining experiences available across the board from bakeries to top rated eateries, wineries to chocolate factories! Thanks for making & posting. 👍🐾🦘😎
We are going to Tassie next month. Watched more than 20 videos so far. Mate, your's one is the best. Very nice and different. Great job.

If anyone would like to see some of Tasmania from the south all the way up to the north (where I am) but can not make it here in person then this 26 minute film will cover a weeks drive around Tasmania pretty well indeed .
Congratulations to the makers of this beautiful and amazing film and thank you for sharing it with us all.
So if anyone has spare 26 minutes - then please enjoy "Travels in Tasmania .....
From Nara ( Launceston ) ......... (ツ)
I think I'll put Tasmania on my top three list of places to move once I'm independently wealthy :) (or if my skills as a physician are needed). How would a normal guy and his family find it in Tasmania? Would they be welcome? Or is Tasmania like many uniquely beautiful places where the residents don't want any more people? I've read of some social problems in Tasmania - poverty etc. - is it a big problem? Doesn't seem so from the video.
Fred Rieper Loved this as an ex Tasmanian.
chris chann brought me here and this looks beautiful
Now I want to move to Tasmania, who would have thought.
Nice video. It looks like you had some lovely weather. I've uploaded a video of a new hiking tour in the south at Bruny Island, which is a boat ride from Hobart.
Greetings from Devonport :-)
Come on down people, and enjoy!
i would love to live her
Mt Wellington. Inactive volcanoe never blown before gets lots of snow
Wow this is mindblowing mate... All this time I thought: bloody yank tourists being dis respectful...... You changed my mind.
Sorry for thos comparison, but your video is much better than many of those on TV, and it`s also better than many documentaries. I was wondering if you could share some more places like this with us.
Im Moving to Tassie this Year 2013 to Buy Property... Im Very excited about the Move & Have Spoken to Other Familys to Seriously consider the Move. I have Spoken also to the Familys @Logan ect... I am an American trying to set up a completely unique vacation to take my wife on. I think I have found a solid possibility here!!!!
maconsumner as a proud Aussie I really hope you get down there mate. I've been to Tasmania once and it's spectacular. The natural beauty is breathtaking. And they are so proud and dedicated to preserving their environment and historical buildings
matt cullen
I'm Australian and live in Sydney.
I took time off to go Tasmania for two weeks and stayed for 4 years.
Something about this place that makes you feel you are closer to God.
It is trully a Gods country.
Eddie Uromyeh
I am Mesmerizing over the Insanity of Beauty..
You are right.. Tasmania is definitely (or.. So it seems), closer to God !
The bird at .27, in red light, is a fairy penguin
Excellent. I have just sent this to one of my favourite Americans.
Lana Voreskova But so much gentler, warmer climate, m'dear. Tasmania is about the same size as Ireland but with only half a million people
Yes it surprised me because for some reason I had an image of Tasmania (I don't know why) as being very hot and dry, but it looks very green and leafy here. Anyway it looks very nice.
Lana Voreskova It is like all of Europe shrunk into one Island. Dense forests and wilderness, stunning beaches, lush farmland, mountain with snow several months of the year (even skiing), many almost-charming coastal villages :) (not really old enough yet) many lakes and a very pleasant climate (on the same latitude south as Portugal north.)
I was there last week for a boat tour
A very beautiful documentary! When are you going to upload the rest of your travel in Tasmania?
dvchel
👍 YES I absolutely agree with Dvchel: excellent Documentary !
might be living here soon.....yay
I lived there for 5 years and I can tell you its the most beautiful place on earth . Most are friendly when they get to know you . I must tell you people there are way behind in fashion and way of thinking . Most men are bogan depends where you go and its very very quiet, I am sure you will be home sick for first 12 months . Employment is baddddddddddddd so make sure you have money .
on my aussie tour I'm contemplating taking the spirit of tasmania or just flying over there... what do you think?
If you're planning to bring your vehicle and don't mind the occasional rough passage, take the Spirit. Otherwise flying is the way to go, especially if your destination is Hobart.
I run an Airbnb only 15 Minutes from the Spirit on the NW Coast. Has many attractions as well.
If you want to know more about how we Europeans took over Tasmania, read "Paradise Stolen", available at Amazon.com

@@huntva New friend here I preceded you here's my gift for you:
I watched your video for 26:28 minutes and I smashed your
red ribbon with thumb's up and rang your bell. Can you do the same for my
house? Thank you and see you spread love.
My home
I'm in Paris and it's -6 degrees centigrade. I would give anything to be experiencing
summer in Tasmania right now. It looks so beautiful in this film and the food---tres bon.
