Even now, I still don't use Smokey half the time and run my Supreme Rowan as the team support. Another example is my case rn is I have NEVER pulled a Thoran. The legit best tank in the game. So subbing in for him is Antandra and Lucius, A rank heroes.

Everyone should play the way they want. I min max the heck out of the game to be the #1 F2P in the world, but I also screwed myself for that by going for characters I thought looked cool the first month lol. I don't really regret it though. I don't min max to the point that the game is no longer fun for me and I enjoy the min max grind. So just play how you like :)
This is my mistake. I have so many materials but no golds because I upgrade my gear frequently and buy gear from the blacksmith dude. He like a newbie trapper. I cleared everything's so so way to earn gold except wait for afk rewards.

That's awesome, I came from the original game AFK Arena. What it really comes down to as a F2P is how competitive you want to be or not be. If you don't want to be competitive nothing really matters. If you want to be competitive use Prydwen Institutes guides and do a lot of grinding. That basically covers it
The inventory will have all seasonal items reset, so things like affinity items, gold, gems etc that you get from the base game should stay. Seasonal affinity items should stay too I believe

Don't need to max everyone in affinity, better to 1300 each other free 1 pull an diamond. 3k is not worth it for. A single character unless you use them
Getting lvl 1 affinity is #1 for min maxing, then 1300 yes. For fun though I recommend leveling affinity for characters you like and/or want a title unlock from. Each character has unique titles.
My luck is literally so bad ive hit pity EVERY SINGLE TIME not once did i get gold before pity and im still getting the highest damage in the club because i know what im doing 😭
The AFK chest timings doesn't matter much. What matters is buying the quick rewards, which you should always buy until you are at the max season level where the returns become nothing. This season that's level 650 I believe.

The fake game ads are utter dogshit. We asked the devs why they exist and basically they outsource the ads for the games to massive mobile game ad companies that create those kind of shitty ads for all the mobile games you see. Idk why they do it, when the game already makes good animations that would work well as ads. Overall it's my favorite mobile game, I have not spent a single dollar and I am competitively viable as the #1 F2P in the game. I will not beat the $10,000+ whales, so it is still p2w in that sense. But I am still top 20-50 on my server and top 100-200 in my district.
It really depends, mainly you will be spending them on normal summons. Always buy the normal invite on sale in the shop each day. Always buy the 50 and 100 diamond afk timer bonuses each day (it may take you some time to unlock them). Sometimes if you run out of weapon upgrade materials you will buy that. Sometimes the rate up charachter will be really good and diamonds are worth pouring into it. Right now I don't know yet if the current rate up charachter is worth it.

Yeah, the grind is real. Best way to get them as a F2P is place top 200 in arena on your server. Then you can buy 5 stargazers a week from the shop for diamonds

yeah nah S tier soulstones are a poor investment, getting a random S tier from a pool of 18 when you could be spending those dolly tickets on stargazer summons or discounted tickets

In my opinion yes, I played AFK Arena for 3 and a half years and liked it, AFK Journey I LOVE. I genuinely enjoy the game. It has really good voice acting and lore. The only issues I would see you having is like all mobile games they have a lot of microtransactions making the game more P2W. If you find a good server though you can be very successful as a F2P and are never forced to buy anything.
You get a lot more tickets being in an active guild and so it makes it good to spend more, it comes down to how many you have and what you need in the moment. I should have been more clear, buy them after the on sale stargazer and epic invites. After that the normal epic invites should also be bought, but you should also get enough tickets for at least 30 S tier soulstones. Buy 10 whenever you are 10 off of 60 for a quick S Tier. You get those other 50 from the story and quests.
@@StarStalker28 the thing is f2p account will not get steady supply of dolly ticket in the late game. 5500 dolly for a random s lvl character is very expensive, and you wont get any A tier character. in comparison, even then undiscounted epic invite letters is better. However, you wont get enough dolly to buy them all, so it is better to save the dallly tickets for crystals and discounted letters.

I am F2P, we are 1 week into this month and I have every on sale epic invite, only 1 stargazer on sale left and already bought 10S tier soul stones. I am in the end game competing for the top 200 on server 28. I have had debates with whales and other F2P about this. We made a tierlist: #1 On sale epic invites/on sale stargazer #2 normal epic invites #3 S tier soulstones You buy whichever progresses you the most at the necessary time. The faster the progression, the more rewards.
No, just don't pay money. If you want to be competitive join a new server and grind. If you want to play casual, just play casual. Play how you want, whether you spend money or not. I am the top F2P player in the game, which is a loooooot of grinding, but I am still behind the 15% of top paid players.

You can, especially if you find a less competitive server. There are several F2P's sharing their progress on reddit where they are top 100
@@StarStalker28 i reroled in 4 diferent server all new, it was ok in the first 2 days i was in top 35 after that i was slowly puched away, i am out reked on all of them i did every quest and objectifs,.and good luck finding a less competitive server.

step1: play the game
step 2: choose competitive play or non-competitive
Step 3: Non competitive? Play how you want. Competitive? Join a newer server with less whales for low competition, follow prydwen institute guides, min max as much as you want.
Step 4: Have fun, it's a game, play how you want

I should have been more clear, buy them after the on sale stargazer and epic invites.
After that the normal epic invites should also be bought, but you should also get enough tickets for at least 30 S tier soulstones. Buy 10 whenever you are 10 off of 60 for a quick S Tier. You get those other 50 from the story and quests.
@@StarStalker28 the thing is f2p account will not get steady supply of dolly ticket in the late game. 5500 dolly for a random s lvl character is very expensive, and you wont get any A tier character. in comparison, even then undiscounted epic invite letters is better. However, you wont get enough dolly to buy them all, so it is better to save the dallly tickets for crystals and discounted letters.
@AlexH-nt1gg Wrong, any F2P grinding the game gets more than enough. I am F2P, we are 1 week into this month and I have every on sale epic invite, only 1 stargazer on sale left and already bought 10S tier soul stones. I am in the end game competing for the top 200 on server 28. I have had debates with whales and other F2P about this. We made a tierlist:
#1 On sale epic invites/on sale stargazer
#2 normal epic invites
#3 S tier soulstones
You buy whichever progresses you the most at the necessary time. The faster the progression, the more rewards.

as a f2p im top 30 on every content in the game, when you reach endgame the gap with whales will be smaller

No, just don't pay money. If you want to be competitive join a new server and grind. If you want to play casual, just play casual. Play how you want, whether you spend money or not. I am the top F2P player in the game, which is a loooooot of grinding, but I am still behind the 15% of top paid players.
