I know Tavi and she's exactly what you see here in this video, unassuming and totally down to earth with a mature and realistic understanding of the industry. What the insecure naysayers "hate" so much about her is just this; she doesn't care about the status of sitting in the front row (like they do while pretending it's only about the clothes, she gets that it's about the artistry of the designs. I adore her unpretentious attitude and there needs to be more of it in fashion.

See, I get why they had Tavi for fashion reporting at 13 yrs old. I do NOT understand why Elle is trying to use Dance Moms' Maddie Ziegler for NYC's FW reporting. It was way too contrived & came off as ersatz, faux, saccharinely sweet crap. Lightning rarely strikes in the same place twice & it will be a long time coming before another fashion wünderkind comes along. I'm excited for Tavi to enter into adulthood & step back from the catwalk. No matter how the fashion industry tries; there will NEVER be another Tavi G!

But i cannot help but think that she's 13, she's so young...I do love clothes and find the way u dress significant of who you are, i buy lots of vintage from the 70's, cheap & amazing stuff from second hand shops, but Fashion in itself doesn't make me feel anything. Luxury fashion even less, i have to say. That's why i feel strange about this very young kid into this world...
I dunno..as talented and great as she is (I totally love this girl) I feel like she's almost missing out on living the life of an average 13 year old girl. She's younger then me (I'm 17 and I feel young just looking at her!), but I feel like she talks and presents her as a 30 year old. so what's the fun in that?
@chillsheck Exactly my thought: she's poorly dressed, she just mixes very questionnable items of clothes that don't fit together, bringing back some ugly mood from the 80's, and that's how she's an inspiration??...Wow...My grandma could have been that! Kinda reminds me the infatuation for Agyness Deyn who dresses in a terrible way. Eccentric is not bad, it just has to look kinda nice, at least a little bit. It's not by having 50 different colors and 4 eras on you that you look good. o_O
Also i find it kinda dismal that a 13 year old can be that drawn to the very superficial and useless world of fashion. I love clothes (not fashion!), but i think it shouldn't be the center of your universe. That's pretty lame. There are so many better things to do for thid world than...attending fashion shows and...living for that...Anyway. This world is weird.
