I think the main reason they haven't had a comeback is because of what happened with Yiren last year: Basically, Yiren got into a scandal due to being 'disrespectful' to Koreans during a fanmeet, as she didn't get on the floor and bow properly, instead doing a Chinese farewell. After that, Yiren was put on hiatus for the entirety of 2022, the reasons apparently due to spending time with family as well as schooling. Maybe the company thought that the scandal and the hiatus would affect the success of a comeback that year, so they waited for this year.
