    Hello Mr. Jones,
I'm back after watching dozens of other HVAC vids.
Your video makes 100% sense now.
Absolutely, you must know what you're doing or there'll be hell to pay.
"Take Picture" !!!! I wish all those over HVAC videographers would say that every time they start casually yanking out wires.
    Thank you for making.
The HVAC biz must be full of newbies who mean well but simply screws things up royally. Especially with this EPA stuff. Just have to keep trying. Thank you for making.

    Dear Mr. Jones,
Thank you so much for your video. I have a home warrantee service that was supposed to help me with issues like this (actually do it for me). I have two air conditioning units. After a severe thunderstorm, the upstairs unit went out. I thought it was the capacitor, but did not take the time to test the voltage. I called HWA to have them send a company out to repair my unit. The earliest they could send someone was 10 days later. We waited. The HVAC repairman came, tested my capacitors, and determined that one had failed and the other was on the verge of failing. He said that he would call it in to HWA to get an approval to fit the problem. THEY DID NOT RESPONDED TO HIS CALL. I paid the $100 co-pay and he said that once he got approval, he would come back and replace the part(s). That was on a Friday. I called later that day, and the service company still had not received approval from HWA. On Sunday, the other AC unit failed and the temperature reached 94 degrees F upstairs and 86 degrees F downstairs. I could not get ahold of HWA to have them authorize the repair.
This morning, I called Grainger and was able to pick up two capacitors for less than $36. I thought it would be straight forward to replace, but I got a little nervous because I could not tell exactly where to place the 3 wires. YOUR EXPLANATION OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE 4-TABS VS 3-TABS VS 2-TABS made it very easy for me to replace the two capacitors and fix both units. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
    God Bless You,
    David McMullen

I'm an HVACR student. This was a fun video. We're taught to always follow the wiring. Colors are usually used in a specific way, but not always. That's why I really liked your point about how small the start gauge wire is.

Very good overall - one thing not mentioned is the different contactors - some have shunts that supply power all the time on one side for the units that have heaters. Getting the wires on the wrong side can mess it up by not powering the heater all the time. Great tips overall though - learned some thing new on smaller wire higher voltage going to the capacitor. Good tip. So it's a good day! Thanks
