My tip for no.1 is to get in multi and press おまかせ (recommended in EN), most peoples would choose recommended, and if everyone choose that, the game will random the song from every song in the game and you’ll have high chances on getting new song especially when you haven’t played half of the song that’s available yet.
one of the tips for rhythm games in general which I find myself using without thinking about it... learn and recognize patterns. Some groups already name them across various games, or you can name/categorize them yourself in your head if you'd like. Then, when you play you split up short sections that are familiar -- eventually you can see a section approaching and often have a feel for roughly how it will work just by the appearance even if you've never played the song before.
Smth that helps me when I feel down about my progress is playing a song that took me a lot of work to pass when I first played it, and playing it again. Bitter choco decoration expert 25 was my nemesis wen I firsy encountered it and I didn't touch it since passing it. So a bit ago, when I felt down, I actually went back to it to play it and I actually passed it!

Two years in but the only AP I got is on easy, I can go close to FC EXP27s, and most of the songs below EXP26 are FCed. I've gotten close to AP (~2 greats) on 22s but I can't even get close to AP bc I great ~20 on average difficulties. The more I try to fix the issues the worse the problem gets lol
Hold notes are something I have repeatedly struggled with - as someone who comfortably fullcombos level 30 masters the best technique I have is focusing on the end point of the hold note and using two fingers. Especially if it’s a note that starts and ends in the same place but curves/bounces out and back in. For example if it’s a hold on the far right that curves toward the centre I’ll leave my middle finger at the beginning and only follow the movement with my index finger the main difficulty is then lifting them both at the same time for the perfect but it definitely makes it easier for me, and I’d recommend trying it as I find it makes it more reliable
good idea. also, if it's a quiet part of the song with a very long hold, I usually tap along the beat in a blank space so that I won't be as likely to release it at the wrong time -- helps on some songs where the ending goes slow and cuts abruptly
Having recently gotten into this game, I really appreciate the people who make tutorials and guides. The communities/groups around the game range from silly to intimidating or downright rude, so it's wonderful to see people enjoying it and helping others enjoy it. Here's hoping the game continues to be popular and improve -- I don't think it's anywhere near "the end" as some folks seem to say, but uninterested players are the death of a game... I also got into TF2 relatively late lol
hihii have you ever considered making a video on tips on how to read patterns on harder master charts? (eg. wide note -> small note -> wide note and more patterns) i find moving on to harder master charts difficult because of complicated patterns
I just started to play as many songs as I can on Hard lvl like going from one song to another in quick succession.A bit tough as first but it does help me improve in reading variety of songs chart in pjsk.
One tip I have to improve is to play songs that are way too hard for you every once in a while. its easy to get stagnate by playing songs that are comfortable (0-10 goods/bads/misses) for you over and over again. but by playing a song you can barely pass every other day or so its crazy how much faster you can improve

I have a small tip, that is to play coop mode. That way you’ll be forced to play a bunch of different songs. Do not hesitate to do the hardest level you can reach without dying, too. Having some misses doesn’t really matter!
I finally got to 200 fc’s on expert, I think i mostly have that mode down, only not being able to fc 29+ songs, I’m still struggling a lot with the master game mode with only 20 fc’s, but i still think im improving a lot and your tips have helped me so thank you

How do I figure out if I’m more of a tech player or a speed player? I can understand a lot of tech and hit them (achieved 1500 combo on don’t fight the music master) but I find fast trills (end mark, emperror master, ogyarinizer append) very fun and not that challenging so I’m not sure if I’m better at tech or speed
I already thought of that , i have just FC over 70 songs on hard in 2 days , but whenever i enter expert ... like ... i cant you get me ? there are a lot of notes and a lot of confusing fast things i cant do that ...
I literally Full comboed 340+ songs on hard mode and still cant do expert😭 Update:i managed to FC 124 songs on expert as of now after watching your offset video so thx!
Okay... So, this thing I'm gonna say/ask is "too weird" but it's applicable to all games, not just the Rhythm genre: Do Social Media affect your performance? Take Ena as a reference, thanks~
Example Scenario: I see STK (or literally other player who has a SM presence) AP/FC a song, and I see it and think "that's too cool I wanna do that" and then go to PJSK to play it for myself (maybe waste 10 music cards in the process) and then not be able to do it on my first try and feel so bad about it...
I don't think the question is weird, and I get this, actually. I got all the boss songs on EN due to creators playing, which wound up in me thinking I could do that too I've learned now, to separate the creators like Jack and the like who AP the boss songs from me; as I have a completely different play style to them (I play with thumbs and normally stick to Hard and Expert because it's easier with thumbs). Dunno if this answers your question, but I hope this helps!

I’m cooked it gets so difficult playing any lvl 21+ expert songs w thumbs on my phone. I was able to FC all lvl 21 and one lvl 22 expert song
