- Ms. Allan Rai an avid traveller, being born and brought up in the Kathmandu was materialistic in life. During her treks she would carefully prepare all the things she would need and also she would not need just to make her journey more comfortable. She was that kind of girl who would buy different trekking sticks for every other trek just to make sure that hers in different from others. She was also very reluctant to share her belongings with anyone.
But her mentality and materialistic nature was to completely change during the solo trek to Gokyo Lake. Little incidents that occurred and the people she met during the trek, made her realise the little things that matter in life and made her more appreciative of things she already had.

You are saying that you have everything but you are not satisfied .you don't have those things which can you make really happy and satisfied. People are not only happy in wealth there is lots of things like diginity ,relationship etc....so wealth is just a tools
That's the spirit of being a traveler and having a moment of meeting amazing people in the beautiful journey!!! Keep it up Allan, love the spirit .. Reminded of my travel journey and how people helped me to reach my destination when i was lost in the jungle.... Travelling alone is amazing at times!!!

I’m glad that the solo trip and ur encounter with Bhariya dai lodge ko Bajai and that other Khaja walla Uncle opened ur eyes and changed ur perspective in life these are the true Nepalese trait which is known in the world and we grew up even in the bigger city than Kathmandu but our parents always taught us growing up these values in life. Ultimately your upbringing molds the character in you. Hopefully this trip changed u for good.
