Smart interview, that was cool to listen to... I read his book Guilty of everything and I recognise here the special way he tells things... You know... Cheers fron Paris, France
The palliative stage of an eon, enlightening. References to Burroughs, Candy Darling, the wit and wisdom passed on to another generation, lessons in living differently, meeting your own expectations, nobody else's. Huncke cuts a gracious figure, weathered through war, drugs, hustling, prison, the system, demeanour unchanged.
Cool cat that Huncke. I tend to believe him more than Corso about certain shit. Gregory's just a big ham. Eerie to hear him talk about Burroughs' possible evil streak. I have always felt he killed her on purpose. I think he was a sociopath who just wanted to live a totally uninhibited existance with as many young boys as Ginsy could throw his way.
It's like he's locking up a fucking castle when he gets to bolting down that door. Ever get the feeling that all these fellas and fellees could tour you through their entire life? They each payed strong attention the dramatic sequence of their lives. It's all that lends congency to Corso's beautiful meanderings. As for Huncke; it's the only thing that stop him in his tracks of forever moving adjustments.
If you can grasp a person in one video clip you are just proving life did not act in accordance to actions. Everyone has to answer to the Almighty. That is why life is so great? Nobody gets away with lying for very long before they become fake? It is enjoyable but spirals downward. This is ground level.
the constant, pretentious lens changing is completely unnecessary and fucking annoying, LOL, especially when done repeatedly throughout a single shot. not to mention the cutting in the middle of interesting huncke talk, he must of spent a little too much time at film school.
Huncke, Corso, Ginsberg, The Chelea Hotel, all that ancient and vice ridden beauty gone forever….just like Manhattan itself. Rest In Peace
So true. It saddens me to think of what this generation will miss out on.
siver lining bulletin from the future (2021) Cuomo is soon gone!
Amen to that friend
