You can literally grovel to lower the game's difficulty level. The JP version also had a move that dropped a huge frying pan on your head, giving you a second or two of invincibility.

Sadly, unlikely. God Hand was made by Clover Studios, former part of Capcom which they eventually shut down. Most of Clover's members then went on to make Platinum Games. Among the many fuck-overs from Capcom (such as giving their games like NO advertisement), the biggest "post-mortem" one is that Capcom still has the rights on God Hand (though I dunno if Platinum actually tried getting the rights from them).
Hey, I'm all for it, I'd love to see a God Hand 2. But Platinum seems to be all about somewhat different games now. MGR, Bayo 1/2, W101...even that new Transformers game they did! You can see that they keep re-using their mechanics while improving them more and more every time. My guess is they're gonna ride that Action wave until they reach....however high they can get? Hey, MGR is among my favorite games of all time and that Transformers game is actually pretty sweet, so I'm not complaining. Definitely hoping GH2 is somewhere in the future though.

I'd give it to Kingdom Hearts if we're just talking single player. Shadow of the Colossus and Persona, stuff like that are heavily overrated. When I was a kid, you would not peg Disney as in tone with Square Enix. It cannot be stated how significant a cultural impact it had to successfully put together two titans of media from opposites halves of the globe. It served as a softer introduction to the world of JRPGs for so much western youth, is stylistically gorgeous, explores powerful thematics, has a shockingly deep combat system, and comes from the golden era of PS2/GameCube where big budget cinematics were common but it still blew them out of the water! The only way to describe Kingdom Hearts is a masterpiece on every level. Story, gameplay, significance. It may not have been the wildfire that Pokémon was but that's a marketing and conceptual achievement, less to do with the games themselves. Love God Hand, and it contributes to the greatest console library in gaming, but satire will never compare to something that takes itself seriously. (Wow, think I just had an epiphany on comedy in general.)

Really? It's a solid 14 hour game. I'd take a shorter game that's tons of fun the whole way through over a game that's really long but is tedious to play (like Asassin's Creed)
Play it again with the KMS (kick me sign) challenge. No God Hand and no Roulette wheel allowed. If you get through the curbstomping you are rewarded with one of the music discs.
Took me around 25 hrs to finish the game at first adding the cutscenes, then 5 hrs on the 2nd run, cutting the cutscenes and setting up Gene with the cheesiest moveset not including the God set.
i remember the happiness i felt when i first finished the game and listen to this .......... i was daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaancing with all my siblings such a good old times
