The press conference actually made me worried about her mental health. She looks and sounds like she's having a breakdown. Is that usual for her?
You will know what she said exactly during the press conference later, but I'll add a little bit in English now. She explained the shaman is just a friend, not the consultant and management controller like HYBE is spreading words. Because there was a president shaman manipulation case in Korea, HYBE set up this shaman frame to attack her using media. And she also explained details about false or fragmented info that HYBE spreads about her, that's why she cried, angry and even cursed several times at HYBE executives (which surprised everyone because no one does in history).
About BTS, you have to understand a little bit background story of her which she said during the press conference that Newjeans wouldn't be exist because of LE SSERAFIM which Bang PD wanted debut first, so MHJ had to deal with HYBE exec to take trainees out to another separate label who signed contract solely because MHJ promised them to debut as first girl group under HYBE. So she made another label Ador after making a deal with HYBE because they can not debut under same label as second girl group. She cared about Newjeans so much because HYBE's management and promotion attitudes wasn't cooperative because MHJ and HYBE already were bad relationship. That's how MHJ just talked about BTS enlistment etc with a friend which happen to be a shaman, and it's just friend talking, not shaman consulting. She basically cared Newjeans how HYBE's attitude would be changed after BTS enlistment about promote under their label groups.
And There are so MANY MANY MORE she explained why HYBE is acting and attacking her like this. Currently, the majority of Koreans have come to support her. Since many native English speakers do not yet know all of these details, they are being incited to believe what HYBE has spread in the media, including the takeover of management rights.

HYBE is cult or pseudo-religion.. Hybe wanted Minheejin to make a song for their “god” which related to mythology of the first country, Gojoseon, in Korean history. The founder is Dangun (단군) is a son of Hwanoong (환웅) a god of heaven.
In short, Minheejin had to make a song that worships the religion, danworld. She did make a song but in the mv the truth had been concealed.. that is the hot potato that no other press reporting about. We do not know the side of HYBE. They have no say since Minheejin’s press conference. People are worried she might be in death treats.

According to one of my Korean channels, she actually revealed some inside info during the press release.
But HYBE can't fire her: either ADOR's board of directors- all appointed by her- have to do it, which they've refused to do. Or the shareholders have to. And ADOR's board is refusing to call the shareholder's meeting. So, HYBE seems to have decided that as long as they're heading to court to get an order for an emergency shareholder's meeting anyway, they might as well get on with convicting her of her malpractice. That way they can confront the shareholders with a convicted criminal and the evidence of all the damage she's done.
I mean, that's the whole crux of the allegations she's not answering and probably why she's making this into a whole theatre to divert attention away from the real issue: if she played part in spreading privileged information abt the company and its artists to outsiders like Ador's VP claimed. If so, that's a crime.

I don't think Koreans would do anything to harm any BTS member and their music, they love them, I think regular Koreans understand that all of this mess got nothing to do with BTS.
That press conference was a giant dumpster fire. And basically boiled down to:
1) the leaders of a huge corporation are trying to make sure they have better product than the competition (like duh, that's business)
2) they used flattery to get a desired employee to their company (again, duh)
3) she would be the crazy ex gf that no one wants
I just really really hope that the industry doesn't turn on the girls too badly cause they're still so young. According to my Korean friends it's a big no no for shamans to be brought up in a public forum... but that I don't know about.
I looked up Korean shamans, and apparently they're taken about as seriously as Halloween spooks are in the West. In a country that's focusing on science and rationalism, shamans are seen as superstitious-religious foolishness. In fact, the country officially 'eliminated' the practice during the 60s and 70s. It persisted because it wasn't technically punished, just dismissed, shunned and discredited. These days people are more or less tolerant of it, but it's still seen as a backwards, archaic, rather lower-class thing to associate with. It is not well tolerated at all in people who are in leadership or 'official' positions, or scientists. So yes, revealing that she was consulting a shaman for all her official decisions, and particularly, crediting the shaman for sending BTS to the military, does not look at all good for her.
There is NO WAY Hybe would make these allegations and cause their own share prices to drop without solid evidence.
MHJ is not a songwriter for NJ, she is not a musician for NJ, she does not choreograph NJ. She comes up with concepts, that is it. She is a salaried employee of Hybe with some shares gifted by Bang PD. Hybe owns ADOR and it is Hybe money that funds all MHJ projects for New Jeans. She has access to the best at no cost to her personally. So there is no 'plagiarism'. All these groups come under Hybe, they put up all the funds and assume all the risk. You don't tell your boss what to do, give ultimatums or reguse to comply with audits.
She got given too much, too soon and with too much autonomy. Would she mortgage everything she has, go £10m in debt and face bankruptcy for NJ like Bang PD did for BTS? I very much doubt it. 💜

When she had the first press conference, coming out in that green striped top hair, lanky cap water head, I thought what the heck? Is she trying to game sympathy by looking like she’s depressed, sad, etc.? In those fake tears, the sad thing is many will side with her. From what I hear, K-media isn't buying it. And while haters may agree that wanting BTS gone is not a terrible thing (in their minds) the fact that she completely bungled her five-year opportunity to sabotage them from within, AND was seeing this shaman/psychic to advise her on every move she made, is probably not going to go over any better with them than with us.

The majority of Koreans are siding with her cuz they can resonate with her from a worker's point of view. They call her "true" hiphop and call 4/25 the day as Min Jins debut as a rapper 😂

Unfortunately, Hitman Bang hasn't got that authority. It has to be done by either the ADOR board of directors, or by a meeting of shareholders. ADOR's board is refusing, since they were all appointed by her. And they are also refusing to call for a shareholder's meeting. So apparently he's got to go to court to get an order for an emergency meeting, and that will take a while.
Which is undoubtedly why they're pressing on with malpractice charges. Not only do they have evidence of her efforts to buy up all the ADOR shares with foreign money, they have learned of her backup plan: to take New Jeans away from HYBE and set up her own company with them. They gave her a chance to leave quietly; she refused; so now the legal team is coming for her. Her directors probably won't budge, but the shareholders will find it very hard to do anything but toss her out when HYBE presents a convicted criminal, the fact that the company lost value due to her lies and meddling, *and* her multiple indiscretions with inside information.
SHE OWNS 20% of the ADOR, you can't fire one of the comapany owners. Man I swear BTS fans are so fucking stupid, even the shaman thing there's not a single trustworthy source for that shit.
@@ystrw Being in a corporate myself, the biggest shareholder can call a shareholders'/ Directors' meeting. The fact that HYBE announced there will be one by the end of the month is a testament to this rule.
@@Mori-Chan613 The word on the 23rd was that Bang was trying to call a shareholder's meeting and the ADOR board of directors was opposing it. Clearly something changed, but at the time, the talk was of having to take it to a trial, which would take several months. I'm not familiar with how it works in Korea, so I can't speculate on that.
That is not how it works- according to corporate bylaws they have to give notice of a shareholders meeting-they gave them notice-each company has a required number of notice days- they are having the shareholder meeting on the 30th. IF she does not attend at the shareholder meeting on the 30th, they will call for the “special emergency meeting”- this will only take a couple of weeks. They are meeting to vote to remove her and others involved in wrong doing. HYBE has already reported her to the police as of Thursday the 25th so a criminal investigation is happening. And the Chairman of HYBE Bang PD does have the authority to call the meeting- he did.
Far be it from me to disparage anyone’s religious or spiritual beliefs (shamanism) but anyone using any belief system for self-benefit at the expense of someone else is profoundly immoral.

I know that fans are often praying for BTS, just like me, but never tought that someone does dark magic on them. It's good that they are bulletproof.
Look she is a marketing/creative genius, that’s what she did there in the conference. Created a narrative for the public to empathize with her so she can use that to fight against HYBE. Im not even mad about her fighting HYBE or even Bang Pd personally. She had that press conference to get public sympathy. She didn't refute any of the charges and brought in how New Jeans and their parents care about her and a lot of crying and cursing. It was very uncomfortable watching her being so unprofessional. Made me think that she's unbalanced in some capacity, which answered why she had a shaman as her friend/therapist. Shamans must make a lot of money in South Korea. Heck, even my grandmother was a shaman. Every country's got a problem. I think South Korea should really do something about reining in these fortune tellers somehow.

My heart goes out to all the artists and staff affected, particularly the young ladies of NewJeans; I hope HYBE is providing them and their families with a healthy and solid support system. HYBE went public, filed a police report and entered the legal arena because they have solid evidence (breach of trust, misuse of funds, disclosure of personal information, plans to destroy and acquire Adore by forcing a sale via Put Option, poaching NewJeans, using a shaman for corporate decisions, etc.). Her claims keep changing and appear farfetched, needing solid evidence. Her press conference was a tell-tell sign, unprofessional, and a disastrous attempt to manipulate the general public and media. She went public with internal matters, as a CEO and Art Director showed up sporting the latest Bag Lady Look (highly unusual to a South Korean CEO), used profane language, insulted group members, acted unhinged, didn't listen to her lawyers, cried, and didn't have solid proof for her claims amongst other things. Now, her late accusation is alleged planted evidence against her. The conglomerate doesn't need to "plant evidence"; it has personnel evaluation systems, can issue remedial measures, and can terminate employment without making a public spectacle that damages the corporation, artists, shareholders, employees and the country. In her case, all that is needed is for the board of directors to decide. So far, she comes across as unethical, greedy, panicked, obstinate, untrustworthy, and fixated on easily disproved claims. She comes across as a disgruntled employee attempting to take everyone down with her.
Meanwhile, HYBE is just getting started with the initial investigation. Shortly, the South Korean Criminal Act (Article 356 and Article 356 (2)), the Commercial Act (Article 622), and the Act on the Aggravated Punishments, etc. for Specific Economic Crimes ("Specific Economic Crime Act," Article 3) will hit her and her accomplices like a tsunami. It will be interesting to see the findings of the forensic audits and both side's full evidence. HYBE will make moves she never imagined to protect their artist and corporation.💜

Because since she has already won public support (in korea) if she applies for the jury court instead of the criminal judge court to check her case they might go easy on her and she might get away. Jury is sometimes swayed due to public opinion. Her legal team is probably planning this and that's why they held that staged public conference where she dressed down and cried and did acting to look like a victim and weak person. I stan a lot of hybe groups. BTS were the first that got me into k-pop, later I'd stan txt and enhypen, and a casual listener to seventeen and le sserafim. I was a casual listener to new jeans, but after the mv for cookies, then later the weird posts on her ig and the warning sm stans tried to give about her weird behavior towards younger idols (not ti mention that most of the girls are literally MINORS), I just stayed away from the group for the time being. I don't listen to illit, but the hate both illit and le sserafim have gotten is ridiculous. First of all, you can't copyright a concept. Even if both groups' concepts are 0.000001% similar, and concept is a concept. Second, you don't name drop groups to divert from the serious claims the company have against you, including your own group to gain sympathy points. Now it's getting to the point where somu, is threatening legal action against any hate towards le sserafim (and honestly, they should of done this during their hate train in their Coachella performance). I feel sorry for all the groups that are involved into this situation and deserve an apology from hybe, mhj, and the general public from stacking more hate towards the groups. And mhj needs to be fired and put in jail for releasing personal information about groups and trainees under hybe.
She should also be in jail for disturbing the peace of all the groups and fandoms in hybe and made to pay for our mental damages. Hybe should not leave any stone unturn and when they are done, they should release all the truth about what she has done. To restore their reputation. In business, reputation is highly important.
