Other, than the white color, I really like this car. THIS could be a the ultimate sleeper with a built 403 in it.

I worked at an Oldsmobile dealership when these were new. These were red hot sellers. My favorite Cutlass of all time. And it’s a great color combination too.

I remember reading claims it was the top selling US made car in the US for years 1976 and 1977. I never followed up to double check that claim.

I think this is the first car video that made me tear up a little. When you were showing the interior and the radio was playing If you could read my mind, on the Oldsmobile 8 track. It brought back so many good memories. I just wish it was a Cutlass S. That would have done me in. Thank you for posting.

As a NON-G.M. owner, I will HONESTLY give this review, I owned a BADLY BEATEN '76 Olds Cutlass in 1992! With the AWESOME "350 Rocket", and (SURPRISING G.M. QUALITY WORKMANSHIP!) THESE WERE TRULY GREAT CARS!

I loved my '76. Everything about it was sweet, right down to the factory wheels. It never let me down...until my girlfriend wrecked it.

Just as soon as I get the right six numbers..... my mother had one back in the day. It was a dark green 1977. 2dr. My older brother took it to his senior prom, drank to much and totaled it out. That car would've been my first car as the car she got after it was a 76 4dr Pontiac Lemans and she gave me that car. I still am pissed at my older brother about this to this day!!

I had this exact car. Mine had the swivel buckets. White with the factory rally wheels and all options.
Very reliable. Everything always worked. Smooth driving and everyone loved it.
Yes, this car should be in the hands of a collector (like Volo Museum Auto Sales who collects Oldsmobiles).

Beautiful 76, my first car at 16 was a mint 77 Cutlass Supreme with 442 options, was my folks car immaculate buckets console rallys 350 Rocket, it was a clean maxhine you could have eaten off the engine, took all the emissions crap off, put headers dual exhaust, hipo ignition and shift kit in T350 auto, buddy of mine and I did a performance rebuild on qjet, it would really move out then. Wish i kept it.

I had this car in a brougham. Same color combination and wheels. It needed a transmission and I didn’t want to mess with it. It had 115,000 miles one owner. Some rust all along the bottom of fenders, doors and quarter panels. Price I sold it for-$200 Wish I would have put the money in it cause it was sharp and ran good before tranny went which probably wouldn’t have happened if I didn’t loan it out to a ________. (Fill it in)

Suspicious that the spare is missing. That hints one of the original four was no longer usable for some reason.

I had a 77 white with blue interior and pretty much the same design as this car except I had the factory hubcaps instead of the rally wheels. Love the look of this car except for the red interior that's gross lol

I have a 1976 Chevrolet Caprice with 2,300 MI. I have many old cars and I've learned one thing they cost a lot to drive because you cannot put ethanol gasoline in any of them or it will rust out the entire fuel system as it was designed to do to get old cars off the road and make Farmers rich. They sell non-ethanol gas for about a dollar more a gallon. So now I restore diesels that can be run on black diesel. If you're a car person you know what black diesel is it's not french fry curries that completely destroys a diesel in time. That's a nice car with low miles. I bought a nice Cadillac with 10,000 miles on it for $10,000 years ago and a few more with low miles. 1976 to 1979. So they run on unleaded gas properly and they don't have an aluminum engine block.
