I’m writing a comment to pin to the top. Not to tell you anything interesting, just to hide spoilers for people who want to guess along through the video to see what we really bought, because many of the comments, understandably, reveal the answer! So if you want to keep the surprise for the end, avoid the comments section!!!
These highland cows are such a great addition to the chateau! They are not just great green keepers but also look good!
It must have been very cold while recording this episode, as Marc wasn’t wearing his sandals!😂
😂😂😂
Just what the chateau needed: MacHamsters!
I love this!
😂😂😂😂😂
I absolutely love your hamsters🥰
😂🤣😂
I was thinking zebras. I’m keeping my options open for the future. Who knows.
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Well! I had guessed goats or lamas until I saw the horns on the drawing. I thought, surely not reindeer! Then I saw the alpacas and thought, "Well, I was close!" I never guessed Highland Cows! 😂
LOVE those cows! They are my granddaughter’s special breed❤️ Hope the turkey has made her peace with them by now..
I just want to let you know, that for all the hard graft you put into your home, the return will be generational, and that is something to be very proud of. Most of us who live in cities and suburbs, will never have an opportunity like yours. Enjoy every minute of it and know you provide a vicarious outlet for your fans!
Such an interesting and exciting vlog today. The ‘hamsters’ are beautiful and hopefully they settled in well, plus the turkey female and chickens accepted them.
The Highlands are beautiful and seem very oriented to humans getting close to them. The ha ha is like an infinity edge pool!
A suggestion- if you tie colored ribbon at intervals along the wire it will be much more visible to yourselves and animals. Also if it gets compromised- much easier to spot at a distance. The twisted wire gate is easy to see, it has more bulk. Enjoy your new “hamsters”, lol.
Thanks! Luckily we have a super duper modern system that alerts our phones if the electricity cuts or the fence breaks!

🐷🐑🐔🐣
So excited to finally see the coos, a mum and calf too. So gorgeous! Hope the birds and Pepper and Piggy and Chat Chat settle into having new neighbours, and vice versa.
I think I would've gone for the alpacas but how can you not love highland cows? I think you need a "Hamster" sign
They are not hamsters 🤣
This is what I meant - Marc is a comedian and you too. Love your sense of humor and the Highlanders. They match this wild landscape and don't care about snow. 🙏
I was concerned when they said hamsters because they need protection from flying predators and that was a very big area for them!
@@vivianbmartin😂😂😂😂😂
I love your concern for the turkey. Hopefully, she'll warm up to the "giant hampsters".
Hearing about the hamsters was fun, being seeing the Highlands in their new home is downright joyful! They are such a lovely breed, and perfect for your location! I hope all the birds and cows have made friends by now!
Hilarious😅. Goats I said … no !! Donkeys I said …. No !!! I love Highland coos!!!
For Halloween Pepper can put on a pair of horns and be your third Highland Cow!
I kept waiting for Marc to open the van and have a hamster cage as a joke. A beautiful video sharing your lives. Bravo to all involved.
My first thought was donkeys. The highland cows look amazing.
With the music I imagine the hamster 🐹 dancing 😅😅
They look prehistoric, as if they were the models for the cave paintings! But they seem docile enough. Exciting addition to your menagerie. Glad you managed to locate the turkey!
They're rhinoceroses! They're giraffes! They're....shaggy cows?
Love me some Highland Cattle! Not a big mistake Marc! Embrace the experience. 😅😂🤣
I can see why you are in love with them Amy they are stunning. Your tiles will look beautiful in your bathroom. Thank you for sharing with us.
Amy, your music choices are as delightful as the 'coos.'
You guys are such fun. Your sense of humor is beyond fabulous. What wonderful addition to the "farm".
It was funny after Mark said he was going to go get the hamsters. A lion in straw in the back of a truck showed on my iPad? I thought that’s a big hamster.😂 Thankfully it was just a commercial!😂 Thank you or sharing your new animals adventures. ❤
😂
Love the alpacas watching..yeah proper Coos😊
Best hamsters ever. 10 out of 10. 🤣They were even my very favorite kind of hamster! Now I love this channel even more!
Good eats but honestly thought you were getting goats to handle the bramble on the hillside with possible goat milk
Goats destroy everything, including trees. Cows still clear undergrowth but are much less destructive!
I had guessed llamas... and lookie there, it could've been! What fine specimens of large critters!!
Mark's expression at the beginning is priceless. Bet he stops sending those.
I've always loved the term ha-ha and seeing them in Georgian landscapes around English manor houses. I hadn't realized that they also had ditches.
What great animals for that terrain. Lots of luck guys.
I love love love love love those cows! Much love from Oklahoma USA Jackie 🇺🇸💖
Awwwww love your empathy for all your animals. Thanks for sticking with it and finding her, in the cold and at night. Greetings from Australia
What a fabulous, interesting, and warming vlog I enjoyed it so much and the music was "the icing on top of the cake"🤣🤣❤❤
A popular youtuber in America wanted Highlands with no bovine experience. (yes, cows can kick but its those long horns that can mess you up. Thought you might be interested to see his journey into hampster management @Gold Shaw Farm. Morgan and Allison, good people.
We’ll take a look, thanks!
I love Highland cows! So sweet creatures! Your love for the animals is heart moving 💓
Hope you don’t put off getting a more durable fencing system until it becomes an issue… Highlands are pretty docile, but they still have a stubborn mind of their own inside those many hundreds of kilos.
The local birds are going to love you for bringing in all that wonderful nest insulation that they’ll produce :-)
Ooh- that ought to settle Mrs Turkey😊
Well aren’t you going to have some fun! My son and DIL have a bull, cow and two bull calves. Got them a couple years ago. An electric fence does no good with them they just mow it down Ha! They head over to the neighbors and have to be rounded up. Last spring when the cow had her second calf they didn’t even know she was pregnant. My son went out in the morning to feed them and there was the new calf. They are good at eating what ever is around to munch on. And they are cute.
Oh my! Luckily we have two girls here. They seem to be fine with the fence - we got a particularly high voltage one!
Wonderful. Your love of animals is such a joy. Love that mom and calf are together. Great episode. Thank you. And thanks for saving turkey gal.
I love your choice of music! Do you both dance?
That is quite the stock van!
The music was all Margot’s choice this week - I loved it too!
There are some Highland Cattle in America, named Kylo and Hammish and they need/love being brushed. I have been thinking for a while that all the mowing people are having to do is in part because people don't have grass converters, whether chickens, geese, cows, horses, etc.
Yes these ones love being brushed!
Highland are a great breed to have more gentle than normal cows, other than Dexter also a small breed I will have some of each and jersey, for the very good milk
Reading the comments, you clearly delighted all your followers with this episode! So fun.
Love the “hamsters” aka Highland cows. So cute. Bless you for taking them 😍😘
What a great addition. And a very fun video! Well done
Love the new “hamsters” they are a perfect addition to your chateau. Now you need some alpacas.
You should hear the deliberations behind the scenes… two of the alpacas from the farm that you saw are for sale…
The cows are a wonderful addition to the chateau gardens and will likely provide great content for future TH-cam videos! Great decision, Marc. 😊
I thought they were going to be reindeer by the drawing!!❤
I love highland coos. There’s something so appealing about them. You’re building such an amazing life & farm for yourselves. It’s so lovely, heartwarming & just plain fun to watch❤️🇨🇦
Haha. The chicens were excited😂
Wonderful addition to your menagerie!
Love Scottish highland cows they are so pretty Good luck all the best ❤😊❤😊
I love the highland coos 😁
😊 Love your "hamsters "! Hope your poor turkey adjusts to the new pets.
I love that you care so much about all of your animals! 😍
Beautiful highlands! 🥰
It's Bean great to seeing the new Highlands turn up.
They are adorable!!
You all are amazing❤
Highland cows were the last thing I expected. I figured draft horses, to help move stuff in hard to get to places where vehicles are useless, like on your steep hill.
These may be the cutest hamsters ive ever seen!! 😍And they absolutely do kick, I was kicked by a cow as a kid. I was bruised for a month 😄
Awww....your "hamsters" are so lovely....Mother and child.....good for you. I look forward to seeing more of them.
Oh I was hoping Highlands!! ❤
Beautiful.
woohooo omg great they gonna be such fun
I was thinking goats!
Never dreamed of cows!!!
Brilliant I love Highland Cows! I think you should have Alpacas as well though. Amy, I was chuckling away whilst watching you holding the rope and putting them in the field, it reminded me of the famous Blue Peter classic where the park keeper was being pulled around the studio, I can’t remember what animal it was, but you really reminded me of that xx
Lulu the Elephant 😂
They are adorable! Can you milk them? I know " farm" animals are usually supposed to be useful in some way. I am more of the mind ,that making me smile is incredibly useless😊
But, with the cost and work involved, I absolutely understand how important " pulling their own weight or earning their keep is! They reallyare very cute. They seem to tolerate being touched, that's wonderful with kids.
It's so good to be able to see what is going on with you all!
Amy, your tiles turned out so wonderfully!!I hope you are very proud of yourself 🎉 I have c watched your channel/ vlog??? ...since day one. To see you teach yourself all these amazing crafts, take the time to create such beauty- all while doing a 100 + other things is amazing.
Be well & happy,
Audri
Such beautiful and totally appropriate additions to the Chateau fields and menagerie! They're adorable and will definitely fit right in. I'm sure the other animals will soon adapt to their new larger friends and all will be well. Did Clement come around to them afterwards? He seemed quite apprehensive. 🥰🤗🐂🐮💚
The “Heilan Coo” as we call them in Scotland! They’re beautiful!
They're lovely and appear intelligent.
The new additions are sweet, and you're sweet for taking them.
Oh, aren't they gorgeous?! I have such a soft spot for fluffy highland cows (cough!) hamsters. They are such sweet-natured cattle. Love that they are a mom and daughter.
Sorry - i skipped through some because I've already watched twice on other devices. Just wanted to see these amazing animals again. It is easy to see why you so easily took them on - such sweet gentle creatures. ❤
Lovely video! I hope the cows become well-acclimated to your menagerie.
Been waiting for this! They are beautiful, so sweet!❤️❤️
The new Hamsters look great I hope you enjoy them 😂
I LOVE the cows. You two are two people after my own heart!! I love all the animals!!
Love Marc’s Hamsters 😂😂 shame you could have the pack of Alpacas too 😂😂 And Clemants wanting a wee was priceless, kids never fail to let you down 😂😂😂 Love to you all K🇬🇧❤️❤️
Horned hamsters 😂😂😂. Love the cows!
I love Highland Coos…. What a great choice….😊
Those alpacas are also so sweet
No wonder you fell in love! The perfect addition.
That is a wonderful addition.
Amy, I just love how you are with all of the animals. Warms my heart ❤️ makes me happy. You are living my dream life ✨️.
Love the cows 🤗👍 so glad the Turkey was found bless her 🤗
Love Sue ❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
Absolutely fantastic video love mum and baby Highland cows all
very entertaining thanks 🐂🦬
Please take good care of the beautiful creatures, and they will, blossom for you.
Ahhh! They’re adorable! I love Highland Cows.
Two lovely - creatures - to add to the family !!! Yeah
You had my first guess hmmm..never in a million did I think highland cows wow. Biggest hamster ever ;) interesting choice Amy and Marc well now you will have to invite @1bike1world Dean and Nala now won't you ;) what are you doing with the outbuilding you found the turkey in? I am sure everyone will get a long once they realize it's permanent.
What a wonderful episode. I've been away for awhile and forgot about the beautiful countryside with hills and purple-y distant views. Your cows are magnificent and so lucky to have such a beautiful home. And your turkey rescue was so sweet. Bravo for the filming too!
Love the hampsters 😊 so cute. I was guessing horses or alpacas, nope cows x
❤🎉
They are brilliant ❤
Definitely didn't think Highland cows, but did think Alpacas! However, they suit their new location so well, think they will be very happy there. Hope Turkey likes them a bit more, I'm sure she will get used to them. Great vlog, you add such humour , it's a joy to watch.
Bonjour Amy and Marc, I love the Highland cows, they are cute. I am happy you found the Turkey as well. I can't wait to see how the rest of the critters do as they meet the cows. Love from N.Y.
They are adorable. And so are you all. Why you don’t have more followers is a total mystery. ❤❤❤
It’s not for want of trying! It’s so dispiriting. I don’t think we can keep going much longer to be honest. It’s a huge financial drain but we so want to share our projects with lovely people!
You are both amazing, what lovely animals to add to your home. Loved seeing little Clement looking on. As for finding and caring for the turkey in those temperatures... congratulations. Seaford/Sussex.
