Iftar is the fast-breaking evening meal of Muslims in Ramadan at the time of adhan (call to prayer) of the Maghrib prayer. Traditionally, Muslims break the fast with a light meal such as dates and water or yoghurt. After the Maghrib prayer (this is the prayer just after sunset), they can have a full-course meal. Typically, this includes soup, appetizers, salad and the main dishes.

Sitting on the ground was a tradition during the time of the Prophet. Arab traditions have changed over time with modernization but am glad to see some Islamic traditional etiquette are still observed there.

Indians seem to be following a lot of things unbecoming of a civilized nation. Besides if you look to the west (where I'm from), eating while sitting on the floor was the norm.

I am born and brought up in Abudhabi. Missing Abudhabi a lot. Their love, care, protection to outsiders who stays there.. We were also welcomed like this.. I have visited their home many times when I was a child, had food with them, got clothes, accessories from them before we leave to our home. Dates were given to us in sack for our family. Arabi people are generous and welcoming in nature.

I live in dubai. I have always been impressed with the culture. It is unfortunate to see modern buildings. It tramples traditions. I wish, instead of modern architecture (which means nothing), the whole of UAE built TRADITIONAL architecture but with ultra modern materials, interiors and facilities . The ultimate Arabian oasis. That would have been spectacular!

Alhamdulllah allah has given u so much of food but some of world like africa people thy dont little quantity of food to fullfill there stomach iam requesting u allah hav given so much of wealth send to them
