Saw this guys on Melbourne, holy shit it was so energetic, the vibes, the flow. It was their last concert of 2016, they also gave us Tim Tams. These guys are so chill and friendly.
Chester is my favorite bassist atm I really wish I could play like him. He plays jazz bass but there’s such aggression and passion poured into his playing. All I can do is lame ass rock bass, I should try to learn some jazz
I've been blessed to see them once in concert and I just have to say, I am so grateful for their talent. Also, JUST LOOK AT HOW HAPPY MATT IS ON THE KEYS!!! :)
Another amazing performance by these lovely fellows. So so talent. Alex is such an amazing drummer and also such a beautiful human 😍😂. I hope to see the band live one day!
Woah these guys clearly all hulked out while I wasn't paying attention, their chops and their ability to actually function as a jazz combo have improved sooooo much over the years
Omni mics as in circular directional mics that supplement some crowd noise or some other noise, rather than just the mics that are hooked up to the instruments. Omni mics are good at filling in the gaps between different direct channel mics.
Yeah I heard they were featured on Kendricks new album! how dope. We need to keep reppin this artistry of live instruments, this is definitely becoming the new wave
How has Java Jazz Fest not invested in HD cameras yet? It's 2017! Im surprised you can still upload stuff thats not in hd! you can get an hd camera for under $50...
agreed..but here in indonesia, jazz is somehow related to something sophisticated yet classy when you listened to em..its barely nonsense but there it is, no one jumped and really enjoying it like in a rock concert something or maybe it's just me
drummer is a great showman
and a great drummer

seanthebrawn mstessa splaggia stesso mare

As an Indonesian that only discovered these guys two years ago, i only know now i missed this performance big time

Usually happens with these sort of jazz groups. There is so much potential here, I cannot wait for years down the road

Astro Luxe saw them in dallas last year. Went in with mid-level expectations and left with my mind fucking blow
Chester is my favorite bassist atm I really wish I could play like him. He plays jazz bass but there’s such aggression and passion poured into his playing. All I can do is lame ass rock bass, I should try to learn some jazz
Love the piano guy's facial expressions :D

sax player channelling colin stetson at 57 minutes. it's clear the collab was influential.
I've been blessed to see them once in concert and I just have to say, I am so grateful for their talent. Also, JUST LOOK AT HOW HAPPY MATT IS ON THE KEYS!!! :)

Big up from Portugal! Bora valorizar a música com alma
i really like when kaleidoscope played so beautiful ..
really tough crowd, jeez. they killed it tho
Tough crowd? The crowd loved it though. You can hear them cheer and clap.

Woah these guys clearly all hulked out while I wasn't paying attention, their chops and their ability to actually function as a jazz combo have improved sooooo much over the years
AMAZING!
I wish i was here when they performed, since i basically live in Indonesia.
Esses caras são insanos.

Only satan himself edits stage videos
goodgoodnotbad
Hell yeah
wahaha gokil.. bad bad not good
came from kaytranada's album song "wight off". I wish i'd have seen them that night, sigh.
man I love these cats
Ahh!
the rainman of jazz piano
the mix is too dry, any omni mics for the ambience?
+Ikki Witjaksono lmao man I prefer putting the channels together like a puzzle with my own mind.
I knew that something was bothering me, now I found the words for it
I get what you mean by the dry mix, but how would omni mics help?
Omni mics as in circular directional mics that supplement some crowd noise or some other noise, rather than just the mics that are hooked up to the instruments.
Omni mics are good at filling in the gaps between different direct channel mics.
i agree. this mix job is not suited for their sound.
Lavender where u at
CAN ANYBODY TELL ME WHAT KIND OF BASS HES PLAYING? I LOVE IT
looks like Gibson Ripper to me but the headstock is odd.
Gibson Grabber

baru tau.....BBNG ke Indonesia :((((((((
What's the song name at 20:50? Not sure if they've released it or it's just a cover.
oh, I think it's a Flying Lotus cover.
It is. Putty Boy Strut.
It is. Putty Boy Strut.
Kick volume is irritating me. Was it depend on drummer or Tonmeister? Actually whole drum set is high.
What’s the name of the first song?
Could be an unpopular opinion but I wish there was no saxophonist. I also don't typically like quartets that much. Sax trios are ok tho :)
These guys are the ' real deal'...
How has Java Jazz Fest not invested in HD cameras yet? It's 2017! Im surprised you can still upload stuff thats not in hd! you can get an hd camera for under $50...
do they perform here and now in this?
+Angela Kariuki nope
WHITE BOYS COMIN IN WITH THE HEAT!
Anyone know what pedals chester is using?
Ainsley Walker yes
Ainsley I used to go to school with a girl named Pedals Chester
Alex introduced everyone but himself : \

26>47
"confession" mana yah?
+Galih Naufal Pramuditho lagu pertama ato kedua yg dibawa
dead crowd
+kevin silva it's a jazz festival. Can't expect them to mosh lol
agreed..but here in indonesia, jazz is somehow related to something sophisticated yet classy when you listened to em..its barely nonsense but there it is, no one jumped and really enjoying it like in a rock concert something or maybe it's just me
They definitely feed off of the energy of the crowd, can change how the show is for sure
and the Giles Petersonification of jazz continues indefinitely. smh.
why y'all wearing shorts
I don't like the addition of a sax, but still they're fucking great.
This Crowd Sucks!
I have never heard of this group. Terrible name!? It sounds like 2 jazz cats, and a conflicted bassist, trying to work with a dominating rock drummer.
mark peotter Rock drummer? Wtf ahaha
Lmao they're one of the most kick ass experimental new "jazz" acts in many years. Catch up. Listen to their albums before passing judgement
You must come from the school of "Wynton Marsalis"
