Hi Mel! Just wanted to say I remember your coming out video years and years ago. I remember how free you seemed after that. I was a teenager then, struggling with my own feelings about my sexuality. Thank you for having the courage that you did to come out online all that time ago. I was 15/16 then and I’m about to be 24 and I just wanted to thank you! So happy to see you thriving and living the life you always wanted to have. Blessings. Sorry I know that’s not what this video is about but I wanted to get that out.

I love their “Don’t Shrink” gel it’s a staple. I tried to use their leave in and it left my hair feeling like straw and now seeing how the DC did with you I won’t be trying anything else. Don’t have to tell me twice.
It’s a shame with a lot of these companies there are usually only one or two products that are usually decent.
You STILL crack me up with your attempts to describe the smell. 😂

I saw this review and instead of getting the normal sized, I got the samples cos I gotta try products once. And surprisingly, my hair loved it! Everyone hair is so different and I love hearing other people's experience with products my hair loves or hates.
Why did you have to shake it...the sound. 🤣. I like the Don't Shrink gel. It elongates my curls and a little goes a long way. And thank goodness it doesn't have a smell.
Yikes! I have always seen this same experience with a lot of Aunt Jackie’s things. Mild dew smell tho, yuck! Great review

@@Melshary They REALLY are! The quench leave in felt like shampoo in my hair, it completely stripped my hair. Never again! Not spending another penny.
What about the "Mega Growth" deep conditioners, by Profectiv, I believe? Might be nice to try next? I still have one in my cupboard I need to try out. :D Edit: Oh yep, think you did that one already; sorry. :)

That one is great. Mom uses it.
If there is one brand I totally skip now, it's Aunt Jackie's. Their curl la la (which I first thought was a regular mask), the styler? It flaked on me, on its own, and it's tough to do that in my hair (looser pattern). Products flaking by themselves? Yes, that happened. Threw it out, had no patience for it. First time *ever* of me throwing something out and not finishing it, at least. Their Quench leave-in will flake paired with any kind of gel. I am going to be decluttering that next. Might use it as a regular conditioner. I only tried 2 products, but for me enough to say, not trying more! No! Correction. I used that "fix my hair". And it still kept the tangles in my hair. :(
I’ve never used Aunt Jackie’s but I know when my hair doesn’t like a deep conditioner, I gotta add some glycerin/honey and oil in order for it to work.
Most cheap products are loaded with glycerin though
@@dantexventa3695 I guess so but that's just what works for me. And if I use aloe vera juice to wet my hair? It turns out even better. I think any deep conditioner will work if I add those things to it because it makes it more spreadable and moisturizing.
I agree. My hair did not like it. My hair felt worse after using this product. I won’t be using it again.
I only like Aunt Jackie’s gels and curl foams.
I used it and my scalp was super itchy and it made my face breakout really bad for a week. The spots cleared up within hours after my next shampoo. I was so confused. I checked the expiration date it was good for another year.

I used this product yesterday and like you said, it's trash. Didn't do anything for my hair. The smell is terrible and I really regret buying it.
I know a lot of people like Aunt Jackie products are staples but my hair didn't agree with them...😀
I've been seeing these products everytime I go to Marshall's for months and months. I finally bought the quench leave in, I dont like it. The curl la la is ok. I hate the smell of both of those. The coco creme mask was okay. I only used it once.

Sorry. It’s been over 4 years since I had my daughter and my hair has never been the same. So there’s no advice I can really give you.

This stuff sent me into the worst eczema flare I have ever had. Tried it last june and it took months to get my skin to clear.
Really? Where is your eczema? Thankfully it didn’t effect my hands.
Mine is on my neck, arms, hands, and back of my legs. It was so bad that my ears broke out

@@Melshary I'm not sure, but like you, I did notice that weird chemical smell it has and the texture was weird.
The smell isnt super super strong: it doesnt bother me". Few moments laturrr:" i really really hate the way it smells".
