    Sergeant Majors - amazing people. They can give orders at 120 decibels and not look like they are shouting, spot a smudged tunic or crooked beret from 600 yards, and personalities that encompass showing empathy for the youngest recruit to ire that would cower the legions of Hell. These people, and others like them, are the backbone of the UK's' Armed Forces. God bless all of them and God help anyone who crosses them.

    I was attached to 1 RHF in Fally during the late 90's early 00's and remember Alan Grant. The very best CSM and RSM I served under and an outstanding human being. I believe he's now a Lt Col!

    Regardless if you are U K or U.S.A. and other countries the Command Sargent Major is the All Mighty. They are given the highest respect in every Armed Forces in every Country. I was in the U. S . Army our Battalion Command Sargent Major would put the fear of God in you when you screwed up and had your back as well.
    I have seen the Battalion Command Sargent Major give a Second Lieutenant a very hard and we'll deserved dressing down.
    Highest respect to all Command Sargent Major.

    The most impressive part of this video was that green-and-yellow bus making that tight turn. Had to watch that several times.

    Toy with this man as your **considerable** peril... 😆🤣
    Sergeants Major are a rare breed the world over, and every single soldier or Marine in any military ever has a 'sergeant major story', from a legionary recruit for Gaius Marius to the young men and women who were sworn in to their respective services yesterday. And where would we all be without them?
    As the old saying goes,
    "An officer works from sun to sun,
    But a sergeant's work is never...
    GODDAMN IT PRIVATE! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?!"

    • @stevensmith9298
      @stevensmith9298 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lucasreeve4442 Yes, they were initially a piece of equipment used by the Artillery to measure the distance between the guns (too close together or to far apart reduced their effectiveness) and also for the angle of elevation of the barrel (for range) prior to the invention of gears.

      The Union Jack is the flag flown at sea the Union Flag is the land based flag and the blue in both the Union Jack and Union flag represent Scotland
