I also review the new Holiday 2024 Limited Edition Moondust Space Cowboy Glitter Eyeshadow Palette. This palette is exclusive to the Urban Decay website and Ulta Beauty. I do a full try-on, show swatches and give you my opinion on whether or not it is worth the $49 price tag.

Hi Shannon, thanks for the video! You're right when you say those with dry skin aren't going to like that foundation. The 4th ingredient is alcohol which is very hard on the skin. Now, if you're only going to wear it once in a while, like you said, maybe on a weekend when you need your foundation to stay on all day, OK. But if you wear it every day, it's going to be hard on skin of any type.
And I agree with you that the palette is overpriced. Granted, you're getting 6 shades of UD eye shadow for $49, but as you pointed out, you can get a similar palette for much less. And yes, the packaging is really cool, but I find myself wondering how long it would take until the hinge breaks. And then you're using a rubber band to hold it together. Also, I think it was a bad decision by UD to use the Space Cowboy name and then not put that actual shade in the palette!
All of that said, those shades were great on you. And I've got to admit the teenage girl in me really wants that cool star shaped palette!
All great points. Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts
@@shannonlovesmakeup Sorry about the long comment. One other point: UD has palettes with 12 pans in them that they sell for $59. I'm not sure how the size of the pans compares with this new one, but if you can spend $10 more and get 6 more shades, I'd be inclined to do that. But I bet a lot of teenage girls will see that palette under the Christmas tree! Or get it as a Hanukkah gift. From their indulgent grandparents or cool aunts!
I agree with that, however, I think the Moondust shadows are their special formula and sell for $24 for a single shadow, so I think that may be why it’s more expensive. I also have to say, the mattes are much better in this palette than my last Naked palette. The mattes were super dusty. So I think this is a different formula
And don’t apologize for the long comment. I love that. Also, comments can help others as well. My opinion is just my own, so I think it’s helpful for there to be other opinions
@@shannonlovesmakeup OK, you have some points here with respect to the pricing. And the palette itself isn't the typical square or rectangular cardboard or plastic.
