I had the 400’s Great Grandfather in the 90’s. It never let me down and ran every day for almost 20 years till I sold the business. SCM is quality equipment! Good choice👍🏻
You already know this but……… you get comfortable with that saw and there will be no other saw. I ran one of those for years and cannot tell you how much of a joy it is to use! We had a smaller miter gauge that slid into the main slide to that I would use before a chop saw. Awesome job on your work. Enjoy that saw!
Really nice you’re lucky you get all the neat play toys for a woodworking shop next time I’m in Lethbridge I’m gonna see if I can come out and have a look at your shop beautiful tools
Я поражаюсь. Что за заказы выполняет ваша мастерская, что вы зарабатываете на такой инструмент. Это же невероятно дорого! Круче мастерской, я не видел нигде. Круче крутого!!!
to be honest, what i like the most was the quick assembly of the machine... usually take hours to put everything together and aligned. but this machine took less them 5 min. incredible! 😂😂😂
I just wish I had the space for tools like this. Don't get me wrong, the tools would be great also. Congrats! Looking forward to see what you do with it.
4/9/23; ..big new table saw! Wow! Looks like same unit Nick Padulla uses on his (Australian) channel! Fantastic units! Ok, now that you have it, cut something for us so we can drool over this killer table saw! Looks beautiful! Give us a show-n-tell !!👍👍👏👏✅️🙂
That's the exact same unit that my grandma has. She assembled it all by herself, too. Her whole cellblock was SO proud of her. She even got a new tattoo to celebrate after she made her first cut!
My first slide saw ever was a used SCM and I became a huge fan of the brand. They are actually the largest manufacturer of woodwork equipment in the world. I am also in a rural area and so if I need parts I want a company that can help. SCM has a massive part center that you can call into at any time and they will help you identify the piece you need based on the drawings and get it sent out to you right away as well as having techs to answer questions if needed. As I grow I also wanted a brand with a wide range of equipment and SCM has the widest range of any manufacture.
Parabéns pela sua nova aquisição vamos torcer para que venha muitos projetos. Aqui no Brasil a chance de um profissional ter uma máquina dessa é próximo de zero.👏👏🇧🇷
Dang Dusty, you living on the edge peelin off those labels before it's unpacked! Honestly, I thought this was going to be that Festool mech suit thing. Still waiting for the day you become a Festool droid and start throwing logs around. 😂
This is a great video... funny enough, I have a pretty much identical saw, but built in 1993... (with only a couple of differences in the power buttons and such ;) ) Even the sliding mechanism of the fence. I had no idea my saw was so ahead of it's time.... well now I can buy the spare parts... one of the 'wheels' in the extended arm is broken...
@@dustylumberco Unbelievable build. Myself, I would have been looking for the directions, that I never seen 🤔 That's why I said unbelievable build. Very Cool 😎
I have no idea what that is but it looks cool. You managed to put that together in 4 minutes. It would have taken me 4 days, 2 or 3 pots of coffee, a couple packs of Marlboros and a whole bunch of swear words 🤔😳😂.
Man the equipment this one Man show has is phenomenal. Love your videos!!

Both SCM and Felder have smaller throw sliders that fit in the same footprint as a 36” Sawstop PCS. Take a look at the Andrea’s workshop on YT.
SCM is really good quality, I have worked with SCM products for many years and they give little to no problems.
I agree! I had their 6' slide saw a few years and was happy with it. Excited for this big upgrade

Is this replacing your older Maksiwa sliding saw? If so, what can this one do that your previous one didn't?
Looks larger probably has longer slide more capacity
