Cheers Nick. Great video. I just got a 1963 AC15 out of Australia. They are rare as hen's teeth here in the States. Still need to go through the circuit with my business partner (who's the amp expert). For now I'm just satisfied playing through it a bit. I just bought that 'A Service Engineer's Guide to the Vox AC30' book, I already have the Jim Elyea big book and schematics.

Hi Nick, I bought a 13.5 Certified Trinity motor for blinky touring car and put it in and it was a dog, on my motor anyliser its pulling 5.7 amps do i just advance the timing until it goes or will it get to hot because its out of the sweet spot zone?? is there anything else i can try as the timing was 47deg

Hi. If you run on a large high speed track with few slow corners, then it is possible to advance the amps up to 10amps. Some top A finalists even use 12amps. Of course check motor temperature . But 8 amps should be fine. All the best, race on. Nick

    Hey Nick,
Regarding the vibrato circuit, it seems Denney lifted Wurlitzer's vibrato circuit (which does provide true vibrato). That would make sense for an outfit that also produced keyboards/organs. Check out the writeup by Dorf, the inventor of the Wurlitzer Vibrato and compare the circuit details to the Vox circuit. www.thermionic.info/dorf/Dorf_TheWurlitzerVibrato.pdf
