As an Angeleno this was great, but also because Eric Dressen's style of street skating and his last board shape from DT and first two from SC were my favorites of all time.
That's so wild - a few months ago I was on a trip to LA and I had busted up my microphone on my camera. I searched frantically for a replacement and I stopped at the Best Buy in Torrance. It's like, a block away from that shopping center. So wild.
Man this brings back a magical time, i had one of his decks back in 1990, damn i loved this video. Santa Cruz and nothing else was my mind set, Op gear, swatch watch, my vans and punk rock! Hit summer mornings wake up, then go street skate until dark.
I love this guy. My first skateboard ever was the Eric Dressen "Roses" board that i got in the early 90s. A few years ago Santa Cruz released the reproduction of it. Bought it and it's been on my wall ever since. Thank you @SantaCruzSkateboards
That was awesome! I remember all those So Bay Spots! Got my first pair of Vans there and my board at Steves Sporting goods. It was called the Rolling Hills Plaza back then and you can see it in skaterdater!
I used to make the skateboards for Old Star Skateboards in LA back in the 2000s and met Eric while making his pro model. He was by far the coolest person I ever met in the skate industry and so happy to hear he got into the HOF. I wish we had more people like Eric in the world, it would be a lot better place.
I grew up in the 80’s skating with my friends and my older brother who said your name a lot. We were born in the 70’s We always read Thrasher Magazines and Transworld too. Now I realize how old we are by seeing this video.
I went to edison elementry. My uncle was at north high. 182 east. Thats where it was at. 1982. So fun back then. I started skating. Never stoped. Good times!
I'm the same age as Dressen. When he was doing all that at 8 years old, I was riding a yellow Big Banana board with a piece of bent metal screwed on for a tail. My roller skates were clay wheels and I thought the universe had exploded when I rode the urethane wheels on my skateboard.
2:07 magazine shot. I'm trying to find the cheap no grip tape blue plastic board I had. Back in the seventies, grade school. I knew a high school guy who had the fiberglass. Then the wideboard around 85. Junior high.
Dressen is the GOAT 🐐
His 9” shape kills. ❤ you folks at NHS!
Fucking nuts thinking about when he started and then being pro for all those yrs is insane.
Met him He was the coolest so humble and kind.
Hell ya!! Cant have a salad without some Dressen!!! 🤙🏽😎🤣
The GOAT of what?
70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s, 2020s. He's skated through six decades. Legend.
He's so humble, it's crazy. A skateboarding legend and all you hear him saying is how grateful he is. That's truly something to be inspired by.
Humble?
If there's one benefit of social media, this is it
Such a humble and awesome guy, so rad 😎 legend.

I'm such a huge fan of Dressen. What a legend! Happy to see him ripping all these years and still today. Skateboarding royalty 👑

I loved every second of this, including that last backside carve grind over the cake.

had a giant poster of Dressen on my wall most of my childhood. Seems like a super nice guy. Such a rad story and a massive part of skate history
My biggest skate inspiration 💪
Dressen’s everslick re-issue from 2022 is the best board i’ve ever ridden.. please just keep making them @santacruz!
Saw a photo of him doing a FS wallride when i was 12, been a disciple ever since haha
The tour of the old skates spots when he was a kid is super rad to see
Skateboarding is most definitely the fountain of youth! Good to see this young OG still out there shredding it!
If there was any one skater I’d just wanna chill and skate with, it would Dressen…. He was/is such an influential skater to me.
parking stressers unite 🫡
Stressing about parking before even leaving the house 😂
That set my weekend off right! 👏
That clear rose grip is sick! Dressen always has the sickest board shapes too.
Eric is the blueprint for charging and ripping all terrain 💯 Total inspiration! Thanks for sharing this 🤙
