yeah maybe because people who don't actually like deathcore and whatever they did before may like this, getting it on the top 10, but it doesn't mean it's one of their best. It all depends on point of views
Bringing the boy up the right way. My 10 year daughter loves BMTH and my 8 year old daughter also likes them but only certain songs. The oldest is into the whole alternative music. Follows after me.
No matter what sound they are BMTH is always lit, so y'all need to stop complaining about how y'all miss the old sound. That's the spirit is a great fucking album
Seeing comments like "what happened to their sound" Mate this songs been out for over a year at this point, were you living under a rock when TTS released ?
+A guy on TH-cam. Throne sounds literally nothing like Faint, other than an ever so slightly similar vocal melody in the chorus. Other than that, there are zero similarities in songwriting terms at the very least.
What a fitting song to end their royal hall concert with. Even more fitting for me - struggling with depression and alcohol abuse - on my way to crawl out of the void and reading the comments im so glad im not the only one that grew up with this band struggling and finding a way out thanks to them.
This song helped through my addiction. I've been clean for 8 months now an this band has honestly saved me life. The effect of his lyrics are mind bobbling
Say whatever you want but for me it is their best song. Riding a car with all windows open and hot summer air in your face is perfect when listening to this song.
I'm still a fan no matter what BMTH got me through some very difficult times in my life. But people have to realize that consistent screaming is hell on your vocal cords. Maybe Oli toned it down to save his voice so he can keep singing.
A lot of people are hating on the change of style but they've stated several times that people change, the things they like change, so if their taste in music changed then obviously they'll focus on making music that appeals to them and makes them happy. So if that's not metal core then you should respect their decision and it you don't like it, then stop listening. No one is forcing you.
Gabriel Ramirez idiot they just choose money and fame not to change their "Style" they went a terrible way. The lyrics are bad and the fanbase is trash.
dimosrix if they would focus on money they wouldnt make concerts in such small locations with 200 people they could fill an entire stadium if they wanted to but they wont
For everyone who's hating on the new BMTH, bands change overtime. They obviously can't be the same as when they started. If you miss the old sound, then listen to their old songs, but bands need to evolve. Like people, bands mature. They can't stay in the past. Yeah I also miss Sempiternal, but I'm not posting stuff saying things like "This album sucks" or "What happened to the old BMTH?". And I'm not hating on people or trying to be rude. I'm just saying my opinion. BMTH is one of my fave bands and I will always like their music.
I miss old bmth cause they changed too quickly like it was very unexpected from sempiternal to that's the spirit... not gonna say new bmth is bad cause it's not, happy song is a fucking incredible song for the intro to their shows
My band was performing this at our highschool reunion and singing 3:27 onwards with the audience feels friking amazing, everyone can’t stop jumping after the drum solo my head exploded i had goosebumps oh man that has to be the best moment of my life.
It's amazing that no matter how much the band has gone through so many changes in their song styles during this time, they continue to expand the lyric part of their songs in particular, Oliver is really a poet when it comes to writing and putting his feelings into his songs None of your work here has been in vain. each of his albums always ready to surprise, regardless of how it would be done to the public
Why do I love this so much? What the hell? There's no screaming. There's no soaring guitar solo. There's no bashing of drums and cacophonous noise at the beginning to alert you to the arrival of yet another melodic metalcore song that is about to sonically assail you. What the hell, Ollie? You make me love you yet again! Oh bloody hell.
Chancelor Collins suicide season is my second fav and third is there is hell believe me ive seen it from thats the spirit there are not many that i adore but avalanche is pretty good from that album
So back from 2012-2015 I was with this guy who is known since we were 10 years old and I watched him choose drugs and partying over me and everything else in his life. This album from start to end literally describes my experience and for that; I am thankful. This album put into poetic words exactly how I felt at every stage. From the realization that we were “doomed” to still “following him through hell” He’s in prison now unfortunately but I think it saved his life. Thank you BMTH for this absolute piece of beautiful art. You’ve given me a sort of diary piece to hold o to forever to remember that life is about more than whatever you’re facing right now.
Alec Wilson His voice is done for when it comes to screaming. Saw them live and.. yikes. There's a reason they only play songs from the previous two albums. HC-old school fans be disappointed.

wait what i never knew they sang this song live, do you know if they ever sang " what you need" live because songs like what you need and oh no they dont normally sing live for some reason
I honestly had to come back and listen to this whole album and realize that they pretty much prepared us for the switch in their sound. This song kind of reminds me of them breaking free of that image that they were having to obtain to remain successful but now they finally made it. They can make music how they want and feel legendary doing it. And now going back and listening to the new album I get a completely different perspective
Can anyone confirm if the rumour that Oli Sykes & Jordan Fish have written all the music for the band FROM INSIDE and on their new single Find My Way is true? They are friends from back in England i think. Their song is on youtube if you wanna hear it, type in to search for ’FROM INSIDE Find My Way’ and I definitely think it sounds like them but I do love it so much too :D xo
Nearing 30 and i have to say, once you find peace in life and life starts to revolve around more than drugs, drinking, friends and parties.. it's where this song kicks in. Love is more than temporary happiness. Whoever needs it,hang in there, it's true what they say,it DOES get better!
Wish I could agree I’m 29 doesn’t feel better after 16 years of depression heart break I realized my best times were in junior high. years of chasing happiness thru drugs and lieing to myself. Closing my self off. Im clean now for a while. But it hurts to look at myself knowing I’m 30 no friends no one to talk too, No happiness, wasted most my twenties away on drugs. An all my best decisions got me here. Just so disappointing.
So true, this starts happening in our later twenties, but, we see addiction hit it’s ugly head full swing in our 30’s… I see it in some people I very much used to love who have been lost to their addiction
this song is literally the epitome of 2014-2018 music to me no shit since it's from 2015 but it captures it so well like THIS VIBE?? the nostalgia is hitting so hard rn
A lot of people give you guys crap for changing up your sound. I just came here from Pray For Plagues and I personally think that you sounded amazing then and sound amazing now. You guys have helped me through a lot of shit. Thank you for everything and keep up the good work!!!! 💙
to the fans saying what happened to them? I just read on here that Oliver said he had voice problems and was tired of screaming. I seen two people saying this, so i expect thats the result. You are a fan of them yet don't know why they changed? Obviously there's a reason so look it up.
Quentin Diaz Oliver said he likes pop music, and that's why he's now producing it. He said he won't do metal anymore, even if he makes his old fans sad.
BMTH has never been heavy metal. This is a pop rock song, but pop rock is also a great subgenre. Not everything has to be heavy, electronic and pop rock rules.
@@matvejkap I know, but that's not heavy metal. Heavy Metal is the style of Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, etc. Which BMTH sounds nothing like, bc they were deathcore/metalcore/whatever they were.
From somebody who's come from hanging out with people who are my best mates who can't have a good night without something that helps bring the night to a new level this really hits home. Good song.
You know when fans say that a band changes their style everytime they release something new? Well, this style sounds completely different than Sempiternal
This song is so different from all the songs in the past lol I love all of BMTH, from Count Your Blessings to That's the Spirit. They are an incredible band.
This song has a special memory.. I went to see BMTH with Underoath and Beartooth in 2017 in Toronto. I am a HUGE fan of Underoath and was mainly hyped to see them that it really didn't even occur to me that I was about to see BMTH as well.. turns out that I knew EVERY BMTH song they played that night except for this one which they played during the encore.. it was the FIRST time I ever heard it. To this day it still SLAPS.. what a beautiful song. One of my faves. Thank you BMTH.
This was my girlfriends favorite song. rest in paradise Estela. It’s been 3 years 5 days 28 minutes, since I lost you, and it hurts more and more with every passing day. I come back to this song everyday, because it reminds me of you, and how we would sit in your room or my car for hours just listening to it. I still talk to your family every single day, we have dinners still. But it’s not the same without you. We’re all still heartbroken. Some days I think I’ll never be happy again, other days I wanna die just to be with you….. I’ll love you forever. And when I do die, I know we’ll spend eternity together, infinitely in each others arms. And it still won’t be long enough.
this song is one of the most important things that got me through my first heartbreak, the emptyness i felt inside was so big that things i had stuck in my head from before came up and made my life even worse. this song was one of the few things that silenced my demons for a while. now, a year later, this song makes me go back a bit to what i went through but fuck it, this is one hell of a banger and possibly what saved my life.
i agree with you, i love your comment so much tbh i'm so tired of some people talking shit and complaining about bmth changing/selling out etc, and honestly it's just getting really old. their opinions isn't gonna stop them from doing what they love, and that's making music from their hearts. bmth has helped me through the worst times in my life. heavy or not, i will still love and support bmth with all of my fucking heart.
This song should be more popular. The band should use it as a song to perform at concerts. Because there are parts that the audience can sing along to. Even though it's the first time I've heard this song, it's the part Oh...... No....
I love this song. I wish I had really listened to this band in high school when they were dropping this stuff. Would’ve helped a lot. It makes me feel sad but happy. I reminisce on life when I was younger when it plays no matter what mood I’m in. This band all around is one of the best to do it.
I legitimately didn't know BMTH made this song, I'm not bashing it, it's a good song, however, I just never expected a song like this from them. I respect that old fans will be turned away from this but I also respect that it's the new direction they wish to head.
Bro, I've been loving this track since I first heard it back in 2015 and still does for now too. As for the feeling associated with it, it does has that melancholic undertone in it's lyrics especially after the sax bit all the way to the end.
Ninja HD Thanks, I have been meaning to change my picture though... I was more of a fan girl faze and I haven’t changed it since lol. I’m going to change it to “Eddsworld” soon and if I start making videos then I’ll change it to something with the channel.
5 years later and here I am reminiscing on my college days. Rough break up and hearing this in my earbuds walking through campus. Music has such a crazy effect on oneself.
whats up with these comments of they are not what they used to be and that because of that they suck, im just over here appreciating all they do and just jamming out, where did all of this negativity come from?
Christian Rose its because a lot of the harcore fans loved them when they were metal not pop/punk pop and because of the sudden shift of the genre a lot of the harcore fans hate it as they have seen there fav band become a genre they hate/dislike
tbh they are acting like 6 year olds who have been told that there is a new flavour of ice cream being sold. it's the same people they are just doing something different, and if you want you can still have the old stuff. I mean, doomed has got a bit of a sempiternal vibe, and happy song has a pretty awesome scream. but ffs fanboys calm down
honestly This album is my favorite. I have listened to their old stuff but this stuff hits me the hardest. im sorry some of y'all feel the need to be douchepants but I'll continue to love the hell out of any album including That's the spirit
I dont get why you didnt put this comment on ''Can you feel my heart''s video. That one is heavy metal, or heavy core as some prefer me to call it and that doesnt really involve insane screaming
This song kinda about growing up when you are old. But in my interpretation, its about realizing that life is short and making every move you make as purposeful as possible.
Everyone here is fighting about their new and old sound and I'm just over here appreciating the trumpet playing piggy.
the trumpet playing piggy is too cute
Professor Bombushka worship the trumpet playing piggy thing
Professor Bombushka hell na looks like the thing monster movie
Professor Bombushka same, 👌
it looks a bit like juba the Hut from star wars.
This is the most underrated song from the album

It's also a suitable for when you're mulling over your decision to breakup with someone

But they won't
Nearing 30 and i have to say, once you find peace in life and life starts
to revolve around more than drugs, drinking, friends and parties.. it's
where this song kicks in.
Love is more than temporary happiness. Whoever needs it,hang in there, it's true what they say,it DOES get better!
True brother. I am almost 27 and this song makes sense.
Feeels
Singing this song loud made me refresh my mind and slipped away those bad feelings. It's like crying in the most beautiful way.

this song is literally the epitome of 2014-2018 music to me no shit since it's from 2015 but it captures it so well like THIS VIBE?? the nostalgia is hitting so hard rn
this instrument 0:29, his vocals, the lyrics, the oh's overall and idk what else but it's there
A lot of people give you guys crap for changing up your sound. I just came here from Pray For Plagues and I personally think that you sounded amazing then and sound amazing now. You guys have helped me through a lot of shit. Thank you for everything and keep up the good work!!!! 💙
MyBlackVeilChemicalFallOutAtTheDisco Amen to that!

FUCK YOU
Fucking lame ass emo kid, its not the 90s anymore. Hawthorne heights is dead.
to the fans saying what happened to them? I just read on here that Oliver said he had voice problems and was tired of screaming. I seen two people saying this, so i expect thats the result. You are a fan of them yet don't know why they changed? Obviously there's a reason so look it up.
Quentin Diaz Oliver said he likes pop music, and that's why he's now producing it. He said he won't do metal anymore, even if he makes his old fans sad.
I read that Oli threw up like everyday because of his screaming. Like damn dude, I would've stopped if i were him
it it heavy metal? nope
Is it still a good song for what it is? absolutely!
Thomas Lorentzen electronic rock is an amazing subgenre my dude :D
@@roshanfey it is pop rock
BMTH has never been heavy metal.
This is a pop rock song, but pop rock is also a great subgenre. Not everything has to be heavy, electronic and pop rock rules.
@@goldensun7702 but BMTH was deathcore and metalcore
@@matvejkap I know, but that's not heavy metal. Heavy Metal is the style of Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, etc. Which BMTH sounds nothing like, bc they were deathcore/metalcore/whatever they were.
From somebody who's come from hanging out with people who are my best mates who can't have a good night without something that helps bring the night to a new level this really hits home. Good song.
That's some jazzy ass fetus
HenryRuins dude, that fetus brought me here.
Now we know the actual reason the baby kicks from inside the womb.
HenryRuins bruh... you make me nose exhaling hard
HenryRuins lololololololol 👏👏👏👏👏
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
You know when fans say that a band changes their style everytime they release something new? Well, this style sounds completely different than Sempiternal
they've stated before that their music grows up with them. they've probably matured a bit more
Britney Bowen yeap they also said that they dont listen to metal as often
Henry Llajaruna pretty sure every band goes through a change, Oli can't carry on screaming forever aha will always love them though
This song is so different from all the songs in the past lol
I love all of BMTH, from Count Your Blessings to That's the Spirit.
They just killed it.
BMTH will always be my favorite band, no matter what.
count tour blessings =v
I don't like this song so much, but yeah BMTH is one of my favourites.
Jarroad Allongay well, this isn't my favorite song either, but it's also sooooo good.
Alejo Sykes I love it too ❤️
最初のほうに日本語出てきてびっくりした笑
I was surprised by Japanese starting at this song!!
みーとぅーだよ
tomokazu sugita?
Shinnouke Jibiki No surprise.Emo people have a thing for Japanese.
それな!

That is beautiful 🥺 I am sure your gf is proud of you, rip 🤍
@@aydeperdomo2513 thank u, I hope she is.
Hope u get better soon 🙃
You are love you are worthy you are important 💕
Memories hits hard bro. Hope you feel okay now
this song is one of the most important things that got me through my first heartbreak, the emptyness i felt inside was so big that things i had stuck in my head from before came up and made my life even worse. this song was one of the few things that silenced my demons for a while. now, a year later, this song makes me go back a bit to what i went through but fuck it, this is one hell of a banger and possibly what saved my life.
I will never get tired of the overall sound of that`s the spirit, one of my all time favorites for sure!
nice to see a softer side, very good melody, nice to rest your voice from the harder songs : )
That’s the spirit is such a beautiful album man
One of the most underrated song from bmth along with seen it all before.
20000000% agreeed dude
I OWN EVER SINGLE BRING ME THE HORIZON SONG EVER PUBLISHED AND I AGREE
Tbh real bmth fans luv there music then & now, i luv them so much and appreciate there music now too
i agree with you, i love your comment so much tbh i'm so tired of some people talking shit and complaining about bmth changing/selling out etc, and honestly it's just getting really old. their opinions isn't gonna stop them from doing what they love, and that's making music from their hearts. bmth has helped me through the worst times in my life. heavy or not, i will still love and support bmth with all of my fucking heart.
love*
their*
also that isn't true necessarily
+Night Falls With Tragedies i agree
Fangirl af
Obcessed fan girl , BMTH is getting too much comercial , i enjoy their new songs but a real fan can dislike them 2
めちゃくちゃエモい
日本が関わってるMVでめっちゃ嬉しい
This song should be more popular.
The band should use it as a song to perform at concerts.
Because there are parts that the audience can sing along to.
Even though it's the first time I've heard this song,
it's the part Oh...... No....
I love this song. I wish I had really listened to this band in high school when they were dropping this stuff. Would’ve helped a lot. It makes me feel sad but happy. I reminisce on life when I was younger when it plays no matter what mood I’m in. This band all around is one of the best to do it.
HOW THE FUCK DID WE GO FROM DEATH BREATH TO THIS
Feistykitty116 I'm hating either I'm just so confused 😂
true
tru
Lane Senter or Chelsea smile
He hurt his vocal chords and if he kept doing that he wouldn't have been able to sing anymore
2:11 Jordan's reaction of the fire dust is adorableeee
I legitimately didn't know BMTH made this song, I'm not bashing it, it's a good song, however, I just never expected a song like this from them. I respect that old fans will be turned away from this but I also respect that it's the new direction they wish to head.
Any one else just in love with this song, but also makes you a bit sad?
Edit: Thank you so much for all the likes😌.
Bro, I've been loving this track since I first heard it back in 2015 and still does for now too. As for the feeling associated with it, it does has that melancholic undertone in it's lyrics especially after the sax bit all the way to the end.
The song is about Oli's past addiction to drugs, hence why the song has such a melancholic undertone
Excessive debauchery.
Ninja HD Thanks, I have been meaning to change my picture though... I was more of a fan girl faze and I haven’t changed it since lol. I’m going to change it to “Eddsworld” soon and if I start making videos then I’ll change it to something with the channel.
Thats why i like it. Plus its about drug addiction which i overcame in 2015
Take me back to when this album was dropped... simpler times..
2016 was one of the most bomb years I've experienced
5 years later and here I am reminiscing on my college days. Rough break up and hearing this in my earbuds walking through campus. Music has such a crazy effect on oneself.
WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST WATCH?
Drew Tuá a music video by the band bring me the horizon
Drew Tuá holaa xd 😱❤
Drew Tuá 💚
rt
ay te amo 😂
Idk how different it is from their catalogue this is STILL one of their best songs
the beat has me likeee
Their lyrics are always so good. Even since the beginning. Very creative
whats up with these comments of they are not what they used to be and that because of that they suck, im just over here appreciating all they do and just jamming out, where did all of this negativity come from?
Christian Rose same
Christian Rose its because a lot of the harcore fans loved them when they were metal not pop/punk pop and because of the sudden shift of the genre a lot of the harcore fans hate it as they have seen there fav band become a genre they hate/dislike
True fans aren't causing the negativity, it's the homies stuck to one genre
Tmayhem 4 I completely agree I love how you worded that
tbh they are acting like 6 year olds who have been told that there is a new flavour of ice cream being sold. it's the same people they are just doing something different, and if you want you can still have the old stuff. I mean, doomed has got a bit of a sempiternal vibe, and happy song has a pretty awesome scream. but ffs fanboys calm down
Man, if anybody told me and my friends in 2008, that BMTH will record a song with saxophone, we would've laughed our asses off.
This song feels like its an ending song of this album, love it
How did they go from Count your blessings to this?
Change happened unfortunately
+Toby Kassulke makes me sad
Daniel Davis 😢why😧
Well, count the fact Oli fucked up his vocal chords by screaming wrong, and there you have your answer.
Because bands change. people change. things happen.
I'm still listening to this in 2021,
such a relatable song.
honestly This album is my favorite. I have listened to their old stuff but this stuff hits me the hardest. im sorry some of y'all feel the need to be douchepants but I'll continue to love the hell out of any album including That's the spirit
This hits much harder now that I am 31 & my 20 yr old lifestyle just doesn’t feel the same anymore
I haven't listened to bmth in about 6 years... and goddamn what a fucking change.
Aliz Flores Ik haha
Aliz Flores ikr i miss the old sound
Xiaolu BTS she didn't say whether she liked old or new BMTH
bringyeethehorizon i know, i was just expressing my opinion
Aliz Flores this is wat we called as an advancement on technology 😂
Love musicians that can switch up styles so fluidly. I never saw that as abandoning fans, but exploring new territory!
So be careful what you wished for!
If only everyone had this mentality but no…
I CANT STARE AT THE WRINKLY POTATO WITH A STRAIGHT FACE I SWEAR
then again I myself am as straight as a fucking circle so...
I'm a potato you idiot I can't stare at your profile pic with a straight face XD
Dylan LikesOAA ;))
Whenever im listening to this song, i just.. keep smoothly swinging back and forth, full of this bit of nostalgia and beautiful emotion in it.
dude was oliver wearing a shirt? he had so many tattoos I can't tell
maybe its a batik shirt from my country indonesia :D
Armani Sutepa wow those shirts are pretty dope then
yes...its one of our culture in indonesia...
Alice N
yes dude, its a batik shirt indonesia punya B)
this band prove it that you dont need to scream out your voice to make a good song
Rinaldi Ardiansyah This band also proved that if you change your style of music you'll lose fans and get hate
O.G BOSS iknow right I think bmth is the band that lost the most fans by changing style poor boys
Sebastian Angelus Your comment makes zero sense...
I dont get why you didnt put this comment on ''Can you feel my heart''s video. That one is heavy metal, or heavy core as some prefer me to call it and that doesnt really involve insane screaming
This is NOT a good song lol.
I really hope they make a music video for Run
Rosemary Ravennight please right
This song kinda about growing up when you are old. But in my interpretation, its about realizing that life is short and making every move you make as purposeful as possible.
Why is the mashed potato fetus playing the trumpet?
kidswithguns that's what I was thinking 😂😂😂😂
Looooooooooooooooool
kidswithguns hahahahaha
(;
Because is a Mighty Potato :v
